TopicJoss Whedon EXPOSED by his ex-wife

Esrac posted...
I don't doubt that those are her words, what I'm saying is we don't have solid evidence that the events as described actually happened. As someone mentioned earlier, the claims of an ex-wife shouldn't necessarily be taken at face value.

Of course, they could be true, but we don't know proper evidence yet to make a determination.

At the end of the blog post, it says: "A spokesperson for Joss Whedon provided the following response, 'While this account includes inaccuracies and misrepresentations which can be harmful to their family, Joss is not commenting, out of concern for his children and out of respect for his ex-wife.'"

That pretty much screams that it's true, to me at least.

Also, the blog was written by his ex-wife. If this is a revenge thing, then this is a made-for-TV revenge because that has to be one of the most intricate, well-thought out ex-wife revenge stories I've ever seen. The amount of level-headedness and direct quotes in that article should be good enough.

tl;dr - "my ex-husband did women on the side" is what the ex-wife might fallaciously assert; this is a 2000 word essay on the affairs. A bit different.

I went to Davis also. It was a great experience, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. However, if you are used to living in a big city or living near a beach, you will find Davis somewhat boring. I'm in grad school at SD and there is just so much more to do.

I would rank the UCs as follows:

High:
Berkeley (undisputed #1, worldwide recognition)
UCLA

Mid:
UCSD (almost high tier)
Davis (you can swap Davis/SB/Irvine depending on interests)
Santa Barbara
Irvine

Low: (keep in mind "low tier UCs" would be the best school in several states)
Santa Cruz
Riverside
Merced

It also varies by major.

So much strange information in this topic.

First of all, your body does not compute percentages; those 40-40-20 things are a relic of the past. What you really need to do is look at the empirical research on dieting instead of following some arbitrary number from the Apple II era.

CICO is the name of the game for losing weight. It stands for "Calories In Calories Out." To lose weight, all you have to do is make sure you use more calories than you consume. You can calculate your TDEE and activity level to find how many calories you need a day - just look at any calorie calculator on the internet or the body planner calculator made by the US government (https://www.supertracker.usda.gov/bwp/).

Then, simply cut 100-200 calories, or however much you want to make your goal weight. If you are strict about counting your calories, you will lose weight very quickly.

Remember that your body is not a mathematician and does not work with percentages. I do not know as much about losing weight, but for gaining muscle, the maximum protein intake needed (as researched by real scientists) is 0.6-0.8g per pound of your body weight, and the minimum fat intake is 0.45g per pound of your body weight. That is what you need to hit to build muscle.

Cutting carbs is probably the easiest way to readjust your diet, but don't go crazy and cut them out completely or you will feel poorly and boomerang.

Working out (i.e., building muscle) can absolutely lead to loss of fat because you are raising your activity level and burning more calories.

The most important thing is to track your calories. Even if you are eating cleanly, you might not lose weight because you are eating too much. For example, I maintain my weight by eating chicken, eggs, brown rice, fruit, vegetables, and greek yogurt, and (of course) drinking only water. I could easily add a few more eggs and begin to gain weight. It's all about CICO.

As far as tracking your progress, take pictures of yourself. You may not see a difference because you see yourself every day, but you will if you take a picture and then another picture a month later.

Trade school ftw. I only had 6 hours of classes a week for 5 years, and it only cost me a grand total of $3,000 without grants. I was enrolled at St Vincent but backed out when I got accepted into the trade school (it was really hard to get into since it's tied into a Union and I don't have any relatives in my Union). Starting salary was 70k+ with guaranteed work after I graduated and I live in an area where you can buy a pretty nice house for that much money.

Not for everybody but I'm really happy with my decision. I would like to go to college some day though as a backup plan in case I get injured and become disabled/unable to keep doing my job.

Be sure to transition to management/supervisor positions when you can. Jobs with extensive labor can take a huge toll on the body, especially when you get older.

They're just getting rid of the remedial classes. They still require that admitted students take 3 years of math in high school (so all admitted students must have already taken Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II). Obviously, California's extensive CC system can take care of remedial math classes for students who need them.

As far as everyone complaining about taking non-STEM classes when they were in college, you had a choice of which college to attend when you applied for schools. Not all colleges require taking "liberal" classes, and many colleges give you a choice of which GE class to take. You can also choose the professor, too, which should be the most important factor in the decision of which classes you take.

Grades:
- Pick classes by PROFESSOR and then specific class. The professor is more important than the specific topic. A bad professor can suck the life out of a topic you could have loved.

- As far as which professors to take, choose easy professors by looking at ratemyprofessors. There is no reason to take the hard route and opt for more difficult classes. You will just make it harder on yourself.

- If the class has essays, meet the professor. It's hard to give a bad grade to a student who the professor knows. Be more than just your student ID number to the professor.

- Always go to class. Especially since you live on campus, it's easy to get to class.

- Avoid taking classes back-to-back. Avoid two finals on the same day. Avoid "hard" professors.

- Do as well as you can with your grades. It's extremely difficult to improve a bad GPA. Note that GPA only matters for your first job or grad school or if you get honors. No one will care about your undergrad GPA after your first real job after college.

- College is (depending on school) much more difficult than high school. You are coddled less and much more is expected of you. That said, you have much more free time. Be sure to use part of that free time to study.

Social:
- Make friends in the dorms.

- Be chill, kind, peaceful. Don't take social life too seriously.

- Go to the gym, especially if you lack confidence. Anyone can easily achieve a nice fit model-esque body with a few months of dieting and working out. Then you'll have the confidence.

- Try to have a style of more than t-shirts and your university's sweatshirt. Button downs, polos, matching your belt and shoes, will all go a long way toward looking like you have your life together.

- You can "experiment," but don't go overboard.

- Don't be a serial romancer. That's for The Sims.

- Try to line up people to live with for your second year by Winter Break. That can sometimes be when people start looking for a sophomore place to live.

- Join clubs to meet new people.

Financial:
- Don't overburden yourself. A job is great, but if it gets in the way of your studies, you should really just take out student loans. Undergrad loans are often good loans.

- Think about your major in terms of job prospects. BLS is a good place to explore which majors lead to which jobs.

- Intern, free or paid. It will be harder to get a job if you have no real life experience.

yeah plus he may need to buy a new car soon. but if i save like $300 a month plus use some of my bonus money/tax return we could easily go to costa rica next summer. it'll be great. i'm gonna try to plan one day at the sloth sanctuary and the rest at an all inclusive resort just to relax.

Lol Mondo lucked out with you girl.

IKR... usually it's reversed and the money ends up getting spent buying a collection of shoes.

I really like the idea of a vacation after a first year of college, but make sure tuition and transportation (a car) are taken into account. Those things are more important (and lasting) than a vacation.

I wouldn't double text. If she doesn't text you back, she's (1) probably not interested in talking to you, and (2) being disrespectful to you.

Just go on to the next girl. Find a girl that's respectful enough to text someone back.

All teaching is political, by definition. Pretty much the entire point of teaching someone something is to get them to know, think, and believe something differently.

Using this (very) basic premise, no teacher really has intentionally, for me anyway.

I shampoo every few days and condition every day. I also use a leave-in conditioner when styling. I have long, thick, naturally wavy hair.

A few tips:
- If the conditioner is making your hair greasy, you should look for a different conditioner. A lighter one with no cone.
- 2 in 1s are a sham, as others have noted.
- Also, don't nuke your hair with shampoo or it will get really dry.
- Look for the shampoo/conditioner for your hair type.

5'11" and 180 is 25.1 BMI... do you work out? You don't really look overweight, but maybe you have some muscle underneath?

What I think would help you:

Good pics. Make sure none look tryhard, though.
- Dog pic (overused now but still it's better than nothing).
- Pic with a few friends so they know you don't go on GameFAQs 24/7.
- Pic in nice clothes.
- Pic doing something really adventurous. Skydiving, rock climbing, at the top of a mountain, etc.

Wear nice clothes in the pics. No $5 T-shirts anymore unless you're trying to show off your arms.

Your beard overpowers your head rn so you shouldn't overemphasize it.

I would also photoshop out the acne marks on your cheeks. The girls on tinder do it, so it's fair game if you do it, too.
