Yea probably because we pay like 10x the amount other countries pay for medication and treatment... something else Bernie fought against. Again this isn't some kind of impossible to achieve fantasy world we are talking about. All modern nations already have this shit. People in other countries are just sitting there scratching their heads looking at our joke of a healthcare system.

Some modern nations have it, and the nations that have it and aren't broke (which whittles it down to 2 or 3 nations) are also roughly the size and population of a couple of states. Not everything that works for a completely homogeneous nation of tens of millions scales to an absurdly heterogeneous nation of 320 million scattered over 3.8 million square miles.

We have a comparable, if not better, GDP per capita than a lot of those nations.

Yea single payer healthcare isn't something other countries have, it's more like trying to magically give everyone a free pony!

I think the point of the analogy isn't that single payer healthcare is an absurdity, but that by not substantiating the actual methods by which it will be paid for and people will vote for it, it might as well be.

Pretty sure he did and it involved not having an absurd military budget and giving massive breaks to the investment banks who scam us and wreck the economy. Hillary can't have that though so let's just call the Bernie supporters a bunch of pony lovers.

His math was insanely wrong - with no military spending whatsoever, AND 99% income tax on the 1%, we'd still be hemorrhaging about $10 Billion a year.

You won't deal with probability and vectors will come in at calc 3, physics or linear algebra (Usually all of those classes will introduce you to vectors and if you are good at trig you will be good with vectors.)

Calc 2 can be a beast depending on how far your class gets. If you didn't at least start integrals in calc 1 you should do that now.

He's not talking JUST about millennials but every-day people. Like, he places importance on history.

There's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with trying to make people more aware of how important history is.

So Trump's plan is to blatantly get historical facts wrong and get people into a frenzied outrage which then will spark an interest in learning history from the general population. 4-D Chess!

I'd like a show of hands of everyone in here - that decided to really dive into the Civil War - WITHOUT it being part of your History class. And this goes beyond just skimming the Wikipedia page.

History classes don't count as learning about history lmfao

Unfortunately, he has a habit of saying things that can get misinterpreted or just plain skewed entirely.

He's literally saying that "people don't ask these questions" about one of the most commonly asked questions in American history. How is that a misinterpretation?

He's right, though. The democrats need to learn that they can't just waste all our money with no repercussions.

Republicans control the House, Senate and White House....... still can't get shit passed.

Just like Obama's first two years.

The ACA didn't get passed in 2010, that was fake news!

Some probably think less of religious people and some probably don't care.

jenningsnash313 posted...
The correct answer should honestly be the third one. If someone is atheist, and doesn't care about religion, why is it something that is on their mind so much?

I only care about religion because it has an impact on politics and therefor an impact on me. The real question that you should be asking is why do religious people like caring so much about other peoples beliefs?

What's worse is he even made an even better argument for why things like learning about taxes should be taught in high school than he did for calculus. I took Calculus in high school and got an A in it but it was an entire waste of time even back then. It's an even bigger waste of time for people now that technology has improved so much.

The fact that most people probably won't use advanced math is different from the argument that wolfram makes learning advanced math useless.

Wolfram itself is useless if you don't even know how to form the proper formula to put into it. Translating real life problems into formulas to plug into wolfram is where the difficulty of mathematics is and basically the entire point of learning mathematics for the purpose of real world application. I mean think about your argument for a second... whats the point of learning how to add when your calculator can add for you? Well... if you don't know what addition even is then you won't know how to plug addition problems into your calculator. Wolfram and calculators are merely a tool and tools are useless if you don't know how to use them properly.

You can use wolfram to solve problems once you have set them up (which is often the most difficult part) but you can't type in "solve the mathematics required to build this bridge for me, k thnx." Knowing how to translate real world problems into mathematical formulas is the reason to learn math.

"but but but...Trump would not get us into a meaningless war"

That's the best you got for being 100% wrong on all fronts?

Trump supporters during the election told us that Hillarys aggression towards Russia would lead us to WW3 and thus Trump being friendly with Putin is a good thing. Interesting how your view is changed now.

They care more about liberals liberal voters potentially flip flopping than the actual president they voted for flip flopping.

Yea and Trump supporters are still deflecting away from the fact that Trump has broken like most of his major campaign promises already.

The amount of times I've heard the argument that Hillary is going to bring us to war so vote Trump! I fucking knew this was going to happen and I knew we were going to get a bunch of "b-b-but Hillary! Emails!" in response.
