It mostly depended on how outspoken my partners were about their racist opinions. Sometimes those opinions didn't affect me personally so I could at least still find the guys attractive in private. And I could get over it as long as they were not broadcasting those beliefs everywhere we went. I was not going to bother keeping a guy who chased off my friends. My guys behaved well enough, so I didn't see a problem keeping them. Live as a sexually active gay male for a while. You'll quickly understand. --- |

That's just a common cultural reality specific to the demographics. Complaints of sexual assault via a significant other giving oral sex to a sleeping partner happens in male+male relationships, yet it's very rare among such men who have never experienced sexual traumas in their past. I'm saying the average man engaged in a consensual relationship with another man typically does not consider being sexually interacted with while asleep by that partner an innate offense. Some of us even welcome it provided we have a close enough connection with the "offender" and feel our comfortable bond is consensual enough. That might boggle the minds of some over zealous activists, but it's just another way norms in LGBT communities differ from the majority. The same set of absolute standards can not be neatly applied across different cultural demographics. That, however, does not mean that sexual assault and rape are impossible towards male victims. That does not mean that all LGBT men react positively to sexual favors performed on them while asleep. That does not mean that LGBT men are okay with rape. Especially since some of them are victims themselves. It just means there's a lot of LGBT men who would not be bothered being sexually stimulated while asleep by a consensual partner. --- |

If they're asking for an open sexual relationship, that usually means they're not really satisfied with just you anymore. You might want to ask why. Explore that, because it's kind of significant...you might be able to fix problems before they get worse. And a partner merely suggesting the possibility of an open relationship does not necessarily mean they're all set to cheat on you. Sometimes they just want to know (or get a reminder) of whether or not you're okay with that kind of option. Communication in a relationship is good for it's longevity. Sometimes not talking enough is why they're bored having sex with just you. Either way, be prepared for them to ask multiple times. Try not to get upset about it. That being said, if you're someone who's been in a long relationship spanning over a few years and switching to an open relationship has never been brought before...proceed with caution if you actually care about keeping your partner. Remember: open relationships are not the majority, not even close. Most couples default to a monogamous or pseudo-monogamous arrangement veering AWAY from open arrangements. Ask most men and women who want a committed relationship; many of them will tell you they would prefer a partner who's only interested in sex with them individually. They will tell you they would not be okay with a partner who has sex with other people. That's just how it is. So feel free to ask your partner if they want to try an open relationship; you might get lucky and they're into it. Just remember them saying no can be a likely possibility. And it's a valid one. It's not oppressing you when they refuse; you retain the right to find another partner who's into that. If you want to keep the current partner instead, either get better at pitching an open relationship as great for BOTH of you or learn to love a partner who's not interested in that option. If you hold them to an obligation of maturity, you need to do the same and respect whatever answer they give. Otherwise, you don't really care about them as much as you imply. --- |

The implication of the expression is that a rat's behind has no value as it's repulsive, which means that a person would normally be eager to get rid of such a thing since it's disgusting and not a loss to give away. However, the expression is implying that the person is so unwilling to provide something(to care) in that moment that they refuse to give even an item that is gross and has no value: the rat's ass. It's just another metaphoric way of saying "I don't care". --- |

In some regions of the world, religion is starting to slowly take more and more of a backseat to pop media. With stuff like Google Search accessible to anyone with a compatible cell phone, less people rely on cosmic mysteries to answer life questions. Part of the reasons some religions accumulated so much power is because their roots took place during periods when the masses did not have casual access to information that conflicted with reining religious ideas and brought them into question.
