AMC doesn't want it to continue because if MP grows and becomes a standard, Moviepass can eventually force movie theaters to except a lower fee per ticket sold, or even a flat fee. Moviepass if it takes off could seriously cut into theater chains profits.

Yes and no, they can pay less then min wage as the servers get tips, but if the server fails to make min wage with tips then the employer has to make up the difference

I don't know why people say this like it'd have made a difference. If North Korea threatened to nuke LA and warned all civilians to evacuate in two days or die, would anyone take that threat seriously? It just seems so pointlessly and arbitrarily high when compared to most if not all similarly minded countries in the western world.

As is always pointed out too, you can go die for your country thousands of miles away but not legally have a beer.

Plus it's apparent most young people drink well before 21 too.

So yeah why hasn't anybody tried to push for it? The only reason i can think of that might stand against it is the likely moral panic that would ensue from older generations and self loathing younger ppl at the idea of giving younger people more agency.

There you go, besides most politicians have little to gain to advocate for such a change and such a campaign would be easy for opponents to exploit with attack ads and the like

but ill take that, a year ago i applied for a discover student card and got auto-denied due to "collections" checked my credit score then and it was 550 and i had a collections record from a medical group in a city i had never been to

I used to work at a Panera that had Kiosks, it was amazing how bad people were at using them, IDK how user friendly they were compared to say sheetz kiosk which were simple,

but it was amazing how many times customers would fuck up their own order or pay way more then they had to due to how they rang it in, plus the cashier could typically ring in 3-4 people by the time it took to use the avg person to use a kiosk
