It's a 2 person event. You're not being pampered, you're agreeing to go on a date and have fun. You both share the restaurant, you both eat the food, you both experience the same thing on a date, but you expect him to pay for the whole date just because he asked you out?

My friends ask me to go out to restaurants with them all the time. I don't ask them to pay for my meal just because THEY invited ME.

But he asked me to go do this.

Going on a date with my friends is different (though sometimes I'll pay or sometimes they'll pay we usually split)

But when a guy is asking me to go and do something with him, it just feels like he shouldn't be asking me to pay too?

If we did a second date or even more I would pay and split sometimes but first date, whoever initiates should pay imo even if it's a girl (but I never initiate first date soooo)

Yeah, it's whatever at first. But when I'm 5, and one of the first things anyone who talks to me is generally white oeople saying "what are you?" Well honestly as I kid it just confused me. I remember not getting why they'd think to ask this of me.
Obviously I got it.

It's a bit sad that it's one of the first things people ask me. Even strangers ask me sometimes.

But yeah! It's not like it's just that. People also call me Chinese or Japanese or whatever they want without knowing me. Or ask me to read manga fir them or write their name in X language.

Oluuus~ the reason I mentioned my voice is because sure it's a bit high pitched but some people who never talk to me...I've heard them talking about me behind my back! Saying I shouldn't be in their country/should have stayed in my country. Sometimes someone will hush them and they'll say "she can't understand us anyway" or they'll make it out like I have an accent or something.

Well, I don't have an accent minus a southern drawl. If they talked to me they'd hear that and not think I'm not from here

On the topic of pics, I know a girl on another board who is short, Asian and wears glasses. She often posts pics, usually at gaming or game music events (typically selfies and often with people who are known in that industry, including I think a Kingdom Hearts composer possibly?) and afaik, she has never been harassed or messed with or anything. Of course, it isn't CE, so whether or not that would be the case if she was on here, who knows.

Yeah sounds a lot like me, actually, but I don't go to many gaming events.
