Going back further it's definitely Jeffrey Maier. And further yet and probable winner the royals winning the 1985 world series because of the blatantly wrong don dekinger call at first base. I just feel that if you are willing to sit in that lower field area you have to be willing to accept the risk of being hit by a ball. If I went to a baseball game and I was concerned with being injured by a foul ball or I had kids and o was afraid they'd be hit by a ball then I would make sure to purchase seats that would not put me in any danger. Putting up netting ruins it for people who are willing to take that risk in order to have a better experience. So to yazzy I would say for example then don't sit at field level if that concerns you. The simpler way around this is a disclaimer pr something that says if you sit field level you have to be prepared for this extremely unlikely scenario to occur. And I've seen the nets at other minor LG parks. They are incredibly distracting and ruin the experience.
