I feel the same way when watching any TV show I like and it's a holiday episode.

I think they would be able to tell by the way it's written that it's just a story. I have no interest in Twilight at all but I imagine the book starts off with a sentence like, "Bella woke up with her hair in a mess and gloomily got up to get ready for school." It doesn't even take a highschool diploma to tell a book that starts that way is just a story and not telling about historical facts.

The New MJ sucks! Also I love that line and want it in a movie. The closest to that line we've gotten in movies is Mary Jane in Spider-Man 2 saying, "Go get em Tiger!" Also I agree with Dikitain which is why I don't like MJ in the new Spider-Man movie. She acts bored through out the movie and has non of the wit and charm of MJ from the comics. Even Ultimate MJ had that wit and she was made to be almost as nerdy as Peter.

Eh, I love the cape, but it was kind of broken as a powerup. The raccoon suit was a bit more balanced in the sense that you couldn't just fly over entire levels with it (unless you have a P-Wing)

I once did play Super Mario Bros 3 on the Super Mario All Star on Super Nintendo and used the feather on the tank level to fly over the tanks. My Uncle saw that and said, "That's not how you're supposed to do it." But he didn't make me stop playing it.

False. The Spectacular Spider-Man holds that title.

Not if you prefer Peter as an adult. I liked Spectacular but I hate the whole highschool setting. And yes I dislike that it seems we're going to have Peter in highschool in the movies for the foreseeable future.
the spider-man cartoon was extremely weird just for the fact that spider-man was still a new concept and a lot of the enemies he faced were either created just for the show or they were from the comics but because the comics had not been running that long

the characters back stories are drastically different than what most people today know them as

The story that revealed Norman as Green Goblin came out 2 years before the show and yet they just had him be some random robber. They also didn't even bother using any love interest from the comics except Betty Brant.

Recently I've come to realize there are some seriously dumb things that happen in comic books. I did stop at ~500, and I hear it got really stupid after that. One offs are really good, but it can only go on so long.

Well, the sort of things that happen in the Avengers films are what happens in Avengers comics and other Marvel comics. It may just be that you're not used this kind of film Universe which had never been done before because of Marvel selling all their movie rights after they went bankrupt in the 90s. For DC, it's because they had too many failures in the past.

The fact that all of these people are in the same universe breaks the immersion. It's too silly. Iron Man was believable, so was Batman, now there's no way I can wrap my mind around all this magic + theist + pseudo-science God tier people all fighting an alien god war. On their own? Sure, but not all at once. If something crazy happens, it's fine, but only one thing crazy is allowed to happen, and then everything else is supposed to come from that one crazy thing. Otherwise, it's just nonsense.

And none of them die, every time one of them is about to die they're saved by sheer luck, then they walk away and say some cheesy one-liner. It's the most dangerous job ever but none of them die. There's no suspense because we need everyone for the sequel.

You have never read comicbooks, have you? Cause what you have a problem with is what happens in literally thousands of comics that have existed since before you or I were even born.

I guess anything post equal rights amendment here in the U.S. Otherwise I would probably get arrested for beating the crap out of some racist scumbag.

Louis CK had a joke about this. How a white person could go back to any point in time and they'd have a table waiting for him, while a black man wouldn't go anywhere further back than the 1960s.

I am actually white but I don't like that so many people were racist towards black people for so many years.
