Even if it turned out that all of the rumors about Trump were true (which they almost certainly aren't), none of them are actually crimes - without a crime there can be no impeachment.

Ya, the FBI investigate petty rumors and silly tittle-tattle all the time, that's like their job.

It sounds like you are being sarcastic, but the sarcasm really is unnecessary considering your description of their actual job was flawless.

Military worship hurts those in the military more than it helps them.
The government carefully fostered the culture of military worship for one reason only: Cheaper soldiers.
Rather than provide enough incentive to do the job by offering that job a fair wage, they are offering a crappy wage that is subsidized by civilian worship.
By perpetuating the military worship, all you are doing is preventing the soldiers from getting a fair wage. Then again, you are also saving yourself a few tax dollars, so it is probably in your best interest to keep up with the military worship. It really just depends on what is more important to you: saving yourself a few bucks, or making sure the military are getting a fair wage.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, and should keep your mouth shut and fingers from typing about anything religious.

So the Christuan ideals don't have any objections to the constant and relentless mass murder of innocent people? I knew it was like that in the past, but I thought they grew out of that phase.

Define "innocent". I think that, if you do enough digging, you'll find that what they teach you at your Liberal public school isn't quite accurate, or the full picture. Also, Christian doctrine has never supported mass murder of innocents. Christians did that anyways because they had no idea what the Bible actually said until it was translated first to German by Luther, then other languages.

Firstly, I'm not a liberal.
Secondly, I'm just interpreting your words and actions.
I said that even Christians should agree that getting rid of religion would be a positive thing, because of all of the lives it would save. Christians are supposed to care about those lives.
Then you showed up and basically refuted the whole thing. If you are a fair representation of Christians, then apparently they do not care about those lives. Or at least, they don't care enough about those lives to be willing to give up the money and power generated by their own religion.
Either way, you are making some strong implications that Christians are not as altruistic as I gave them credit for.

I thought it was quite different. Here come the big spoilers. Please only read if you've already seen this movie or if you REALLY don't give a crap about the series plot.

My favorite part of Prometheus, by far, was the introduction of the Engineers. I loved the first scene when an Engineer dissolved himself to essentially create human DNA, I loved the buildup as the space crew uncovered more about the Engineers, and I really fucking loved the moment where they finally found a live one. That confrontation was probably my favorite moment in the series; I was so intrigued by this race and their motives - why they made humanity, why they wanted to destroy us, what it was they feared or desired. I felt you could have built an awesome series of movies around that.

In Alien: Covenant, the entire race of Engineers are killed in a single two-minute flashback. It was probably the most disappointing movie scene I've watched in years, because it pissed away ALL the potential that Prometheus built, and it reduced the Engineers to a mere plot point.

So basically, David and the lone surviving female from the last movie (Dr. Shaw?) are flying the huge spaceship from the last movie and find the Engineers' home planet. As soon as they arrive, David drops a ton of Xenomorph bio-bombs on the population, infecting and killing all of them. That's the only time we see any Engineers during the whole movie. That lone two-minute scene where they all die.

Another space crew discovers this planet a decade later. There are no more Engineers or anything interesting. There's just Xenomorphs and David, who has since killed/experimented on Dr. Shaw and is now a textbook "mad scientist" trope. He loves to cultivate and experiment on Xenomorphs because he thinks they're the "perfect organism." He's egotistical and hates humans and wants the Xenomorphs to infect them all.

And I guess enough people consider this more interesting than the Engineers from the last movie. To each their own, but... I just don't get it.

That is really tragic.
I had high hopes for this movie, but it doesn't even sound worth watching.

But I do agree with Undertale being a piece of shit and personally do not think it deserved the win.

I can see your point in how it makes those results less useful to draw future conclusions from. Although I'm not really sure how it lost even without Nier in the mix - Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 should have been plenty enough to beat 2002's offerings.

Not really. Those pictures are just straight up sabotage.

Super Mario 64
Super Mario RPG
Resident Evil
Crash Bandicoot
Tomb Raider
Kirby Super Star (or DKC3)
Nights into Dreams...
Quake (or Diablo)

I think that's a good balance between strength and diversity

For comparison here's 1997

Final Fantasy VII
GoldenEye 007
Castlevania: SotN
Mario Kart 64 (or Diddy Kong Racing)
Star Fox 64
PaRappa the Rapper
Fallout (or Age of Empires or The Curse of Monkey's Island)
Tekken 3

That looks pretty good, but I really think you should ditch Nights into Dreams for the sake of Tekken 2. Tekken is one of the best selling franchises in history and Tekken 2 was pretty much right in its prime. Plus I don't think many people have even heard of Nights into Dreams - I had to look it up.

You should also replace Castlevania with Ultima Online in 97 imo. Castlevania is a big franchise, but a middling game in a big franchise can't compete with the grand daddy of the MMO genre. There are a lot of MMO players out there that are prepared to support the roots of their hobby.
Wait... Surely 97 needs to get its credit for Grand Theft Auto? PaRappa needs to take a hike too.

These are what I would plot for the top 8 of each category year (following the American release conventions and ignoring Street Fighter because I have no idea which year it is being given to):

96: Duke Nukem 3D, Super Mario RPG, Resident Evil, Quake, Super Mario 64, Crash Bandicoot, Red Alert, Tekken 2, Diablo. One more needs cut there and I think it has to be either Duke Nukem 3D or Quake. Which of those is better regarded these days?

97: Final Fantasy Vii, Mario Kart 64, Tekken 3, Need for Speed 2, Goldeneye 007, Grand Theft Auto, Fallout, Ultima Online.

Are there any candidates that are more important than any that have been mentioned there?

I think we're only factoring in original/unique games. Pokemon RBGY are basically lumped into one entrant, and it happens to fall in 1998. Otherwise, like half the 1990s would have some Street Fighter II game eligible (which I wouldn't be opposed to but hey).

That makes sense.
It also makes it a bit easier narrowing down 96's top 8, so that is a bit of a boon too.

It seems you are right. Final Fantasy is credited at 1990 rather than its actual release of 1987 too... But on the other hand, games that haven't seen a U.S. release are still being acknowledged (like Final Fantasy 5); so by that metric 96 should at least get credited for Pokemon Green right?

I think 8 games actualy hlps 96. 96 was a pretty stacked year.

96: Pokemon R/G, Duke Nukem 3d, Mega Man X3, Civilization 2, Time Crisis, Super Mario RPG, Kirby Super Star, Resident Evil, Metal Slug, Quake, Super Mario 64, Tekken 2, Elder Scrolls 2, Crash Bandicoot, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Red Alert, Destruction Derby 2, Dead or Alive, Killer Instinct Gold, Megaman 8, Diablo, NBA Hangime.

I don't really know which 8 I would choose. Probably something like this: Pokemon R/G, Duke Nukem 3D, Civilization 2, Super Mario RPG, Resident Evil, Time Crisis, Quake, Super Mario 64, Crash Bandicoot, Red Alert, Tekken 2, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Diablo.

Xo what about 96 then? If it had proper credit for Pokemon, it would take down 98 and fairly easily really:

96: Pokemon, Duke Nukem 3d, Mega Man X3, Civilization 2, Time Crisis, Super Mario RPG, Kirby Super Star, Resident Evil, Metal Slug, Quake, Super Mario 64, Tekken 2, Elder Scrolls 2, Crash Bandicoot, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Red Alert, Destruction Derby 2, Dead or Alive, Killer Instinct Gold, Megaman 8, Diablo, NBA Hangime.

98: Ocarina of Time, Baldur's Gate, Half Life, Gran Turismo, Resident Evil 2, Age of Empires, MGS, Yoshi, Starcraft, 1080 Snowboarding, Unreal, Banjo-Kazooie, Spyro, NFS 3, FO 2, Grim Fandango, Oddworld.

The only X-factor that is stopping it from being a clear-cut victory for 96, is that unlike 92, it doesn't have a clear cut winner up against OoT.

First, outside of a handful of games GameFAQs doesn't care about PC exclusives. Second the average voter isn't be able to rattle off 10+ games from each year, they barely even make it to the end of the picture rotation.

1998 without one of OoT or Pokemon RBY would probably still win excluding picture sabotage. Maybe 2001 could put up a fight.

Do you think 98 would have still taken down 92 if Pokemon was in 96 where it belongs?

Yes, and 98 would probably still be favored to win the contest. It was a really loaded year.

But is that just a knee-jerk reaction?
ALttP > OoT
Ultima Vii > Baldur's Gate
Wolfenstein 3D > Half-Life
Virtua Racing > Gran Turismo
Alone in the Dark > Resident Evil 2
Dune 2 > Age of Empires

And those are just the direct comparisons. What is left?
Mega Man 4 and 5, Final Fantasy 5, Kirby, Ecco, Super Mario Kart, Super Mario Land 2, Mortal Kombat, Sonic 2, Street Fighter 2 vs MGS, Yoshi, Starcraft, 1080 Snowboarding, Unreal, Banjo-Kazooie, Spyro, NFS 3, FO 2, Grim Fandango, Oddworld

Unless I am forgetting something big about 98, I just don't really see how it would compete with 92 if Pokemon was put in its original release year of 96. Although I could see an argument for 1080 Snowboarding bringing 98 out ahead - 92 really didn't have any sports games to offer.

What are you talking about? your opinion or Actual Gfaqs Contest?

If it's the former then fine thats your opinion. If it's the latter you must have been born yesterday or something.

If you had a poll 1992 vs OoT. OoT would win. on it's own. So I dont' see what you're getting at.

I'm not saying it could hold up in a popularity contest, I am only talking about the actual quality on offer. Sure OoT is a champ when it comes to popularity, but you would have to be insane to think it was a better, or more important game than ALttP.
