I didn't really read through this topic, but I guess I'll give my opinion on the statues here.

I don't mind removing them from public places. I understand that they make a lot of people uncomfortable and what they represent. I do think, however, that destroying them is such a pointless waste. They should be placed in museums for all people to see for years to come. Not to celebrate the people the statues represent, but to serve as constant reminders of the ugly side of history. Hiding from the past helps no one.

That's just my opinion though. I don't mean to offend anyone. I'll just outright say that I'm southern so you know where I'm coming from.

I meant you can balance offensive and magic attacks. You can do nasty damage that way. You just made it sound like you should save your MP for cure when that contradicts how cure works in the first place.

We're not in disagreement here. I agree that you should use physical attacks more often than not, but to act like magic sucks is just kinda silly. It definitely has its utilities.

Wisdom is better earlier in the game. It quickly get overshadowed by Master and Final, but it is what it is. If you know how to use it it can be very destructive.

Curaga uses whatever is left of your MP bar, it doesn't necessarily need the whole thing. It's best to save it for after you've used your other spells. You can pop it off even when you barely have any MP left.

^^^Most fans seem to agree that Staff is the worst, especially for Proud/Crit playthroughs. Magic isn't nearly as good as it was in KH1. I generally just go for the Shield in both games due to its utility and how early you get some abilities like Damage Drive and Once More.

Magic is fucking amazing in KH2. Reflega is ridiculously good as well as Firaga. Turn on Wisdom or Final Form and magic is just ridiculous

I take it you're going into KH2 then?

Ok then. The game is gonna present you with the sword/staff/shield thing again, but this time you don't have to sacrifice one. KH2 is a much more offensively oriented game. The combat is very in your face. That being said, pretty much any one of the 3 is a good choice. I usually take the staff because it gives Sora some offensive magic abilities earlier than usual, but that's up to you.

The prologue is pretty lengthy. It shouldn't bother you on the first play through, but on repeat runs it's really a slog. KH2 is much more exposition heavy than KH1, with a lot more cutscenes.

Get ready to hear "Sora, Donald, Goofy!" a ridiculous number of times.

Many people prefer KH2 to KH1, and I totally understand why. It's much more action packed and fast paced, but it lacks exploration which I felt made KH1 so enjoyable. I prefer 1 overall, but 2 is a damn fine game and you're gonna have a blast.

Chain of Memories is... different. I don't think it's a terrible game, and the card system can be fun once you get a feel for it. Just be ready for a different kind of gameplay.

Kurt Zisa is probably the easiest super boss not counting Ice Titan. You can pop a summon with Tinkerbell at the beginning of the fight if you're fast enough and that helps tremendously.

Sephiroth just takes practice. Once you learn his pattern he's really not too bad. It just takes a few tries.

My least favorite part of the game is that training exercise.

It's pretty easy and free exp once you get the hang of it. But you're probably better off just fighting the heartless that invade the island if you really want to grind before TT.

Hard to believe there are people that actually grind to max level on the islands.

I remember that topic from the KH1 boards. I think the guy did make it to lvl 99.
