The problem with Stella Glow is that once you get the Witches up and running, you have no real reason to use anyone else but Alto (the MC) and the Witches. It doesn't help that out of 14 (maybe 15?) characters, you can typically only use 6-7 in a battle (or even 8 in rare cases; it depends on who is required), and Alto is required in every storyline battle. So, you wind up in those occasional situations where the game forces you to use potentially underleveled characters, such as the battle I'm at now, as well as an earlier one before the big plot twist where you have to use several potentially-underleveled characters. --- |

I'm looking at you, Stella Glow, forcing me to use Ewan in a late game battle, Ewan being so ignored that he is still at level 10 when the enemies are now in the low 30's (30 may not seem high, but apparently the final boss is at level 45, so...). --- |

Some of those were also moderate to huge successes (notably Xenoblade, Splatoon, Pushmo, and Tomodachi Life). DevsBro posted... I mean they make new Marios and Zeldas as fast as they can but Shiggy "What the hell why do you want another F-Zero what's wrong with you I'm too stupid to figure out how to put a gimmick in it and plus I'd need to make a custom controller" Miyamoto has been pretty open about how he's never ever going to continue certain series which shall not be named. Miyamoto's constant desire to throw in gimmicky controls is pretty annoying; it's why I was turned off on Star Fox Zero. If it was optional and could be played with traditional controls, I would have accepted it, but the fact that the gyro controls are required--not to mention the fact that you need BOTH the TV screen and the GamePad to play, that just ruined the game for me. ...Though in F-Zero's case I believe the real reason is that F-Zero GX didn't sell to expectations. --- |

However, due to circumstances outside of his control, he finds himself involved with a special organization of some kind. This organization is filled with many other characters whose backstories are far more interesting, remarkable, tragic, etc., whereas he is still shown to be a regular guy whose own life has been comparably boring compared to his peers. Basically, he's an ordinary guy forced into an extraordinary setting. However, he can come across as boring and bland compared to the other characters (perhaps intentionally so). Going from this, which would you prefer to happen with the MC? A - The MC remains the normal/average guy, though he excels in his duties while in the service of the organization. or B - It's revealed much later that there IS something extraordinarily special about the MC; to the point that even he is surprised when it is revealed. There is little to no foreshadowing of this twist. --- |
