Has anyone tried couchsurfing when travelling? Did you meet heaps of people when doing it?

I'm travelling alone this October and I want to try couchsurfing to meet up with people and make friends.

I feel like unless you really really like Halo than Xbone is completely worthless. You may as well just build a PC which may cost more but will in the long run save you money and run games much better.
As well as having the majority of Microsoft exclusive games available on PC.

PS4 at least has a diverse range of worthwhile exclusives.

It has to be one of the most underrated book series. I loved those books as a kid and I think they hold up really well reading them as an adult.

I remember the sixth and fourth one by far being the best ones. Despite being kinda shitty movies you can't deny how fun and rewatchable they are.

Despite the negativity I still really like the first one as well. Second and third were really good. Part 5 was trash though thanks to the fact it was heavily heavily censored and all the deaths were lame.

What a miserably depressing experience.

What were they thinking throwing a bunch of strong melee enemies in small rooms with ranged enemies that you can't attack because they're on a ledge, with douchey mages that cast that spell on you that slows you down...

The chances of survival is insanely low when you try to make a mad dash for the boss fog

And trying to sprint through the gates with statue of the fire salamander is like an 80% guaranteed death for me.

The only way I can survive is by being a pussy and hiding behind corners and creeping out to slowly pick off the ranged guys from afar. But that takes forever. Way too long.

And to make it worse when I do get a chance at fighting the Blue Smelter Demon he kills me because his attack speed has changed and I don't have a proper chance to learn him because I die on the runback like 8 times out of 10

Fuck this place. I want to delete it off the disk.

I'm planning on travelling alone at the end of this year and personally there's nothing more miserable than being in a hotel alone with no one to hang out with.

I would choose a hostel but they're kind of expensive in the US and I'm broke.

Because for some reason I can't seem to be bothered to play through them. I tried Final Fantasy VII and VIII and I can only seem to play for about 4 hours before I lose interest.

I'm thinking about starting from FF1 on NES and working my way up. And forcing myself through them.

I'm trying to learn fluent German at the moment I'm mainly only using Duolingo. I'm thinking...

Use Duolingo to learn the new words and grammer. Use the app called Hellotalk to practice talking to other German people. Read Harry Potter in German. Watch lots of German movies and listen to German podcast kinda stuff.
