They're likely very similar in design, but there are extremely noticeable differences. Even the room you start the game in has a completely different layout. Unfortunately I can't remember whose idea it originally was, somebody on the BotW board. :X Nice to know somebody I know outside Youtube actually got the video recommended to them by pure chance. I was wondering if that had/ever would happen. xD That cuccoo video is solely responsible for the biggest growth period in my channel's history. Almost at 100k views now. :> And yeah, the Sonic cutscenes just have the benefit of having been uploaded very early in Youtube's general lifespan before doing that was common. The quality is horrible. And it is pretty mismatched which videos have the high viewcounts, mostly just those really memorable scenes. The Sonic Battle scenes, for example, still have hardly any views, and they were uploaded in my cutscene uploading prime. FellWolf posted... JoanOfArcade posted...Christ one of his Sonic videos almost has half a million views. They weren't monetized for a few years, but are now. Also, one technique that helps me out in a pinch a lot is to look at the edges and check if it's possible to fill in specific blocks. Usually you can notice very quickly if it isn't possible. | Gamechamp3k 04/10/17 5:15:16 AM #1 | I've had the idea knocking in my head to try and reach out to an indie dev near the launch of some lesser-known indie game to see if my Youtube channel has actually grown enough for them to respond positively to the idea. The other day, I check the Switch eshop, and wouldn't you know it, a neat little indie game that is exceedingly relevant to my interest just launched! The game is "Vroom in the night sky," a Switch-exclusive Japanese indie title wherein you play as a magical girl. Driving a motorcycle. In the sky. So really the game was made for me. You haven't even addressed the main complaints with the ending; it's not Calamity Ganon or the gauntlet(or lack thereof), it's Dark Beast Ganon and the abrupt ending cinematic. For this video I was focusing specifically on the gameplay's climax; I might do a second video on the story's climax in the future. With regards to Dark Beast Ganon: I see that as basically an interactive cutscene that doesn't really need to be a challenge itself. It's most definitely emulation, even going as far as including save states as a feature, and homebrew solutions can even allow you to play other game ROMs (the most well-known instance being the ability to import the entire NES library onto the NES Classic, all fully playable). Emulation's come a long way. It's still somewhat a dirty word, but many companies have embraced it as an efficient method to preserve and sell their older properties. And that particular situation is pretty interesting. Basically what happened was their Virtual Console Super Mario Bros. ROM was found to be identical to a Super Mario Bros. ROM that's been floating on the internet for a long time, including an iNES header which was specifically created in the emulation scene. All these totally separate instances of totally unrelated people getting super powers in totally unrelated ways in totally unrelated settings, most of the time in settings where superpowers are seen as something magically unbelievable rather than "that very rare trait some people have." It's even worse in the Marvel universe, where the entire premise of X-men forms a completely different Earth with its own culture and history, yet it supposedly coexists with other series where we see Earth much closer to reality.
