And Faramir's acting is so weird but I love it, I love how he is able to sound so... off. It's very surreal in that way, very Matrixy combined with the bug-wearing-a-man's-skin-as-a-suit from Men in Black 1.

has several things that aren't good. But specifically At the end when Danny is running from the POlice the lawyer tells him that he shouldn't turn himself in because he's a billionaire and they'll put him in jail for 6 months to a year before trial starts, and the nurse tells him "yeah, our criminal justice system sucks."

Lol? No it doesn't, our criminal justice system absolutely rocks for rich white guys, he'd at worst be put under house arrest in his lavish penthouse while his team of lawyers on retainer sort this mess out.

That moment really took me out of the whole show. Dead guys coming back to life and fists that turn into iron under the full moon I can buy, but saying the system sucks for a billionaire white guy? Who even wrote that line?

And note, Claire didn't say that ironically, so before you assume she was being her usually sarcastic sucks, she delivered that line under the intention that this was serious.

I wonder if anyone else picked up on that.

Last night I told it to update, so it did. But it didn't restart itself. Instead it shut down and waited for me to turn it back on to install the updates.
That's the only annoyance I have had so far.

Yeah those seem like non-issues to me. My issue is if like the original W8, it was optimized for smartphones and not real computers, by having stupid shit like a metro design and "apps" as opposed to proper programs and a desktop design. Also if like recent times it has regional restrictions, which as someone not living in USA I hate because I get the butt end of the stick there.

It's got a sleek black look. There's a start menu. It seems just like 8.1 which I've gotten used and accepted as almost as good as XP.

Don't know if it's faster or there's any other positives to it. Don't know any negatives either, like I hear it tracks your data or location or whatever? I don't care about the former, but definitely am worried about the latter if it only shows specific content and languages based on the region of the world the computer is in.

i really hated Happy Endings. i remember seeing a promo for it that had some chick having a fucking mental breakdown because someone called her ma'am, and that was just incredibly stupid. plus the lighting and camerawork always seemed way too synthetic and unnatural to me.

It's part of the play on the idea of happy endings in movies, all synthetic and stuff. Plus I was like you I hated the pilot so damn much and the first few episodes were eh. But after it really started to get good and then just gets better into season 2 and some of season 3.

The thing with the first season is ABC aired the episodes out of order (ABC is really into fucking up its own shows and then canceling them, I honestly don't get it myself)

In only 2 years it's here. Pretty amazing huh.

I dunno, I guess I'm a lot less excited for the mcu as a whole ever since I realized and had my realizations confirmed that all these universes aren't gonna be leading to a huge big thing, they're more or less self contained.

Netflix vaguely references 2012 avengers but is mostly just within the universe of the 4 shows, with no more references to other events like Shield.

AoS itself is just completely its own thing with maybe some Agent Carter, but otherwise also references the characters and events of the movies in passing, with no notice of the Netflix shows and villains like Kilgravel.

And the movies will probably never have all there heroes interacting in some big thing.

Although 2016's Civil War was pretty damn close; seeing black p and spider m for the first time literally blew my sphincter, it was so damn cool. And then this year we have iron man and spiderman together so that's also surprising.

Still. Avengers 3 or even infinity war won't have all the characters ever riffing with each other and shit. It's no biggie, just makes the universe a lot less connected. And I get why they don't do it, but it doesn't hide my disappointment any less.

I'm pretty sure you've seen the later stuff in your 20 years on the internet.

That being said it's interesting how the Android/Cell saga introduced some of the worst aspects of the series (time travel, hyperbolic time chamber, more super saiyans and... levels of super saiyaness) yet is easily one of the best ones, with the greatest payoff to what the Z series had been building up with Gohan.

Yeah the card gameplay was already pretty experimental for this particular series, but remaking it on the ps2 in 3d just makes you want to actually play the normal gameplay.

For what it's worth I really liked CoM on gba, as part of the first few rpgs I ever played and 2nd card based game. I can't go back to it now but in the beginning it was pretty alright. Has best Organization members

Not so much loud as fake moans, which they all are.

But she is one of the rare few american porn girls that are actually attractive, shame she just does American porn. If you like her, you'll probably have a heart attack over how beautiful the European Czech porn girls are.

From the Americans I also like Tiffany Thompson, Veronica Radke, and recent newcomer Alaina Dawson (for how tiny she looks) and if you want any of the Czech or Russian girls, let me know.

as noted above there is debate but right now it still seems to be the prevailing opinion that there are benefits (note that many of these were written after that study above)

again, as you drink more heavily the risks greatly outweigh the benefits, but that is in contrast to smoking, which is bad for you at any level

There's also the french paradox, where the french despite eating a lot of meat do not have high cholesterol because they drink a lot of red wine.

Well at least we had Rocky Balboa. I actually kinda liked Rocky 6 all things considered, which was doing the whole "pay homage semi remake the original" that movies were doing (and still are doing as evinced by star wars 7)

Never stops being funny how over the top shows and movies treat video games. Sure it means that games will always be a joke industry and never get the respect or high prolific audience that movies enjoy, but you take the goo with the bad.

Regardless, it's just something I want to figure out; the western world has all but eliminated smoking, but continues alcohol, compared to the middle east, which bans alcohol, but fully embraces smoking. I wish there was a case study about it (I myself was going to do one in college but data was... not easily accessible) and the weird opposite nature of the 2.
