No, he ended up seeing a bunch of surgeons and actually found one willing to try it after his original doctor(s?) told him they wouldn't do it because he couldn't lose like 30 pounds. And even in this video, he implies there is a good chance he'll die (probably because he still refuses to even lose the 30 pounds they want him to lose for the surgery) on the table.
