I will not speak on how many different monsters I had to kill to get all the things necessary to make all the things currently possible but hey now I have a lot of better equipment also I'm overleveled now by I guess a whole lot. I mean in hindsight I guess I could've just reset after a certain number of battles without getting what I wanted but hindsight is 20/20 or whatever. I don't really play RPGs for their difficulty anyway, and honestly as I was leveling up it didn't seem like my damage was really going up by much. Equipping the stronger weapons or getting new Attack+ skills had way more of an effect. Speaking of, I got a nice new boomerang, axe, and whip now along with various pieces of armor and I am ready to go!

Much more exploring. Stumbled on some little inlet with a couple inspectable things, but nothing to do there yet. Nothing much to see at the Maella Abbot yet either, but I'm sure I'll be back to weed out some corruption or what have you soon enough. Then further south and oh god it's another giant land mass to explore. Again I wandered too far east and the enemies started changing on me again, though this time they stayed manageable, but I still avoided most of them for the time being. Got as far as a house with an old couple, then turned back before crossing the bridge.

Made it to Simpleton and may have just set the world record for fastest bar fight escalation. Angelo tried and failed to woo Jessica, and that's where I am now.

Hero and Yangus level 18, Jessica level 15.

Jessica's level 15 skill point distribution:

She may not be as good a damage dealer as the other two, but her prowess with a whip has gotten decent. I haven't done much with her magic, but Crack is okay for now at least. I don't even have a staff yet, but I'm sure when I do that'll probably be more useful against bosses than the whip, so I still put some points into it anyway. I don't know what all these Sex Appeal skills are going to do or if they'd be useful, so I'm a bit hesitant to delve into it.

Jessica roped us into fighting a sea monster and she didn't even join in. It still went okay. Lots of Knuckle Sandwiches and some Heals thrown about, no worries. I didn't realize Thunder Thrust was going to be one of those high damage/low accuracy attacks. Hero still has no good attack skills.

Anyway, sailing the high seas we go. During which we get some backstory on Yangus (nothing special, he was a brigand who tried to stick us up, nearly fell to his death, and pledged fealty to the hero after being saved). Oh goodie, time for the alchemy pot! First order of business... making a mild cheese I guess. Still haven't actually tried using cheese in battle yet. Keep forgetting. There's talk of a castle on a small island. Wonder if that's where the guy for mini medals will be. I haven't actually found any of those yet... Hope I'm not overlooking some already.

Time to see what the south continent has in store for me. Oh dear, Jessica's only level 9. Haha how am I that much higher already.
