You're wasting your time. ManSpread's whole argument is "smash isn't a fighting game". He's not actually saying anything other than that.

That's not really what he's saying. Well it is, but it's more than that. He's saying there is no overlap between shit like SFV/GG players and Melee players--and he's actually mostly right. Where he's wrong is that Evo WOULD benefit from killing melee regardless because even though PLAYERS don't overlap, a Melee tournament still takes TIME that isn't spent playing other games that people would like to see.

Where did I say EVO wouldnt benefit from killing Melee? I want it and Sm4sh gone to make time for good Japanese games

Metroid 1, which was the pioneer of the huge world with nothing in it. Looking back it is surprising that there was another game after the first.

Other M, oh man this game has deep issues.

First the story, I'm sure you have all heard the problems with it's story so I'm just going to talk about how it hurts the gameplay.

The first way is with locked doors, this problem started with Fusion but Other M makes it even worse. You cannot explore in Other M at all, Doors lock behind you for no reason and you can't even try to go off the path the game wants you on. In fact there is a glitch where trying to backtrack in on area soft locks the game making you restart from the beginning.

The second way the story hurts the gameplay is with authorization. I am willing to admit that Prime's way of reverting Samus to having no powers was dumb, but it was dumb for one second then was out of the way for the rest of the game. Authorization however remains as a part of the plot/gameplay the entire time.
Authorization takes away any satisfaction from finding the powerup. You get the power up right as you need it (or several minutes after you need it) and you don't get to work out what you are going to do with it as you are going to be staring at the use when it activates.
In addition it takes away the reward for beating a boss, because they give you the item before you fight the boss.
Also during the final boss fight they decide to not tell the player that they have power bombs despite always having a powerup cut scene when unlocking an ability, during a timed segment.

The sense move is one of the most broken things I have seen in a game, Literally touching the d-pad at all renders you invincible. On top of that using it gives you a full charge of your beam making it also your strongest offense on top of being broken defensively. Also you couldn't not use it because it overrides movement even if you never let go of the d-pad any direction change will trigger it. This move alone makes the game one of the most shallow action games to date, there is nothing to get better at just mash buttons until you win.

To top it all off the Hard mode doesn't let you fight the "hidden" boss for the true ending, it just stops the game when you beat the "final boss" despite there being a boss left.

Pot of Greed is notable because it seems benign at first glance. A draw two effect doesn't seem as strong as preventing all attacks for three turns or wiping all of your opponents monsters.

But the fact is that card advantage (having more cards in your hand) is a huge part of card games and getting it for free is a major power swing when you draw it.

I mean the Gwent game is designed entirely around the concept of keeping card advantage vs putting more power out.

Windows XP is simple and cheaper to install in offices, schools, and businesses.

It WAS cheaper to not upgrade but some sort of hack is inevitable when the OS you are using is no longer receiving security patches. Now it is more expensive and they have to upgrade anyways to prevent it from happening again.

The one really out of touch rule is no debt. If your rich like a CEO or Actor that means never owning a house or car. Very few people can afford one in cash and in a lot of places not having a car means not being able to get a job.

MMA is basically the best parts of all martial arts taking what works in a fight and throwing out everything else. It turns out that all those forms are worse then just punching the other dude.

The exception being jujitsu which instantly wins you the fight if you can get a good hold on the other guy.

I don't think they can, almost all objects in Second Life are made by players (or third party companies) to sell to other players so these rabbits where designed by another player to do this if not given that good object.

Altering a player made item even one that is not functional anymore would break the core design of the "game" and could make the people paying into it unwilling to invest into creating new objects.

At the time the law was written the VP was the person who came in second place in the election and the constitution is much harder to change then basic laws.

So there would need to get a lot of political will to change something not needed in normal circumstances like line of succession.

Sort of, it was really good for the time and a controller that didn't have a second stick but going back is going to feel clunky because buttons just can't have the precision a stick can no matter what control set up you use.

Plus Perfect Dark is better anyways as long as you turn off the Farsight gun.

Why would they pay up? Even if this set of pirates kept thier word the moive would still be up on pirate sites very quickly from it hitting theaters anyways.

The studio knows that pirating would happen no matter what they so it's just a waste of money that would encourage future criminals to attempt to black mail them.
