Except you don't do that? You go through a trial then encounter a souped up boss pokemon. Then in between trials there were "leaders." There's very little in common other than the existence of a strong trainer at some points along the way.

But what happens right after those trials?
The Grand Trials, which are basically gyms that are oustside.

The boss Pokemon mechanic was new, and It was a nice change of pace, but everything else is just the same old stuff.

I'll give you dungeons and unique items. However, the shrines as a whole do a better job than OoT at providing interesting puzzles.The rest are pretty much on par. Zelda's story has never been something to write home about and characters appear to get roughly equal amounts of characterization. As for enemy variety I'm not quite sure there is much a difference in variety.

One thing that BotW completely failed in though was the sound track. It's pretty weak.

I can agree with most of that.
However, OoT had a consistent story throughout the entire game. BotW's story was a disjointed mess.
As for the characters... I felt that Navi, Deku Tree, Ganondorf, Saria, Darunia, Ruto, Impa, Sheik, and OoT Zelda, etc. were all more memorable than the Champions imo.

The shrines would've been better if so many of them weren't repetitive. How many shrines were combat trials?

OoT has more enemy variety than BotW.
Just compare the mini-bosses and bosses of both.

I really don't know how to feel about this ending to be honest.

On one hand, it's good to finally see the series get closure. And Jack actually gets "back to the past" to fulfill his true purpose.

On the other hand, the ending was just so... anticlimactic

This is exactly how I feel.

It's nice that series gets closure, but it was just so rushed.

Ashi mastered Aku's powers and used them to create a time portal right after she got control of her body back?
Then Jack kills Aku in less than a minute?
And then we get an extremely rushed wedding scene where the only major line of dialogue revolves around Ashi telling Jack that she won't be born because Aku is dead...
Then the series ends with Jack alone underneath a tree.

It would've been nice to have Jack remember everyone in the future one last time, not just Ashi. (All of them would've ceased to exist too.)
Whatever happened to the gods too? I thought that they would congratulate Jack on finishing his quest.

Of the ones I've played, I think I'd say

1 > 2 > 3D > Days > Re:Coded > Re:CoM > CoM

Not to say I didn't enjoy the Chain of Memories games; they're just the ones I liked the least. One major factor in how much I enjoy a game seems to be whether or not it has the main trio; Sora, Donald and Goofy. They have a charm that nobody else can match.

3D, Days, and Coded don't really feature the main trio though.

As for my ranking:
Story:
1 > 2 > BBS > Days > CoM > DDD > Coded
Gameplay:
2 > 1 > DDD > CoM > BBS > Coded > Days

I might be the only person who loves CoM...

Most towns actually have a housing department that checks homes and yards, and neighbors can always call in and complain.

On one level it's a property value issue (someone with garbage strewn across their yard or 5ft high weeds bring down the value on the entire area just the same as someone whose house has peeling paint or boarded over windows), but it can also be considered a health issue - ie, high weeds can breed insects or encourage other vermin. You can also theoretically get hassled for having "standing water" in your yard (buckets, garbage cans, or other lids that can collect stagnant water), because mosquitoes and other insects can lay eggs in the water.

This is actually a huge deal for me locally, because of both West Nile and Lyme's Disease being local issues. People get paranoid about unkempt yards even above and beyond the aesthetic issues. If I go more than 2 weeks or so without mowing during the summer people start getting a bit twitchy.

What about laws that don't allow you to park on the grass even though it's your property?

I faced the same issue and ended up selling my Switch.
Although I was able to get back almost as much as I paid. (They were sold out everywhere at the time.)

I'll most likely pick one up again next year when more games are released for it.

I'm going to call BS. It is pretty easy to die in that game.

I never found any position in the game where I died several times.

The bosses were all easy. The only challenging enemies I came across were the lion dudes.

It's mostly the beginning, before you get stronger armour and more hearts. A LOT of stuff in the Great Plateau can one-shot you, including garden-variety Blue Bokoblins.

It's also when you're learning the mechanics of the game.
I've died a few times due to being unprepared for hot/cold weather.

Having unpopular opinions is fine, but spreading false information isn't. (Such as the guy who said that all RPGs are exactly the same, or the guy who said all Zelda games are the same even though BotW is extremely different from previous Zelda games.)

As for my unpopular opinions?

-Chrono Trigger isn't the best JRPG.
-Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons are the best 2D Zelda games.
-Some of the Digimon games are really good, including the pet-raising ones.
-Spyro the Dragon is better than Crash Bandicoot.
-The Persona and Devil Survivor series are better than most SMT games.
-Kingdom Hearts is one of the best action RPG series, despite the horrible story.
-FFXV wasn't that bad.
-FFV is better than VI, VII, IX, X, etc.
-Destiny has some of the best gameplay for a FPS game.
-The 5th gen of Pokemon is one of the best gens, while 6 and 7 are the worst.

I think that's enough for now.

Jack didn't age physically for 50 years, but he did age mentally.

My biggest complaint is that this is the episode right before Jack faces off with Aku.
The fight is now going to be Jack and Ashi vs Aku.
I just wanted Aku and Jack to have one final one on one battle...

Does Final Fantasy even have a main theme? I don't know of any recurring songs but admittedly I'm not a huge FF fan.

The FF1 prologue/title theme has been in most FF games. (Although they are all different variations of the original theme.)
It's the main theme of the series.

I love Kingdom Hearts, but I think Final Fantasy should've been on the poll instead of KH...
