If I remember right, new accounts/players are put up against bots at first to help ease them into the game, and then after that it's all human versus human. (With the exception of the occasional PVE mode anyway, where its human versus bots with certain rules or mechanics in place.)

It came out before Overwatch.

The original version during alpha was a *way* different beast though, it only became blatantly like Overwatch during the beta after the before-mentioned Blizzard title started selling like hotcakes.

Anyway, I want to enjoy Paladins, but I'm getting fed up with how every new champion is some broken piece of shit that's nigh-impossible to deal with until Hi-Rez starts nerfing the hell out of them, by which point there's always some other new flavor(s) of the month so balance is never really achieved.

I've also reached my limit of playing frontline and support because it never fails that I'm either stuck being one without the other (which renders my survival as less than zero while the rest of my all-derpage/flunk team leaves me to deal with the point/payload solo), or the other person playing doesn't know what the fuck they're doing. (Sniper Grover and The-Objective-Is-Lava Ruckus are cancer.)

I legit wonder if Overwatch is better or just as bad as what I've dealt with in Paladins.

But how can you be confident in that if you've never experienced it?

There's lots of things I don't need to experience to know "yeah, I won't enjoy this" just from hearing and reading about them, even if its something as simple as not bothering to watch some movie or play some game. There's similarly been things I *have* experienced that ended up terrible or agonizing to where I wasn't willing to deal with it ever again.

One shouldn't mistake my weariness around the opposite sex as bitterness though, as frankly I don't trust other people in general and thus have no friends/acquaintances at all. But that too is "justified" because I had friends before, lost them for one reason or another, found that post-lost "experience" to be painful, and thus decided I didn't want to make new friends just to lose them all over again. Other people can carry on with such things, I'm not "hating" on the concepts as a whole, I've just accepted there are things in life I'm not meant for and avoid them.

You even said yourself "you only get to live one life" which is all the more reason to not waste it on things that will always prove to be pointless to one's self. What, exactly, ends up being pointless differs from person to person though, which is why I try not to discourage others in their own pursuits regardless of what I've dealt with or avoided.

I didn't have to construct anything, there's factually real hurdles when it comes to dealing with relationships that I don't feel are worth the effort to overcome given how little I would get in return even if I succeeded, or how much I would lose if I failed. It's also not a matter of making it "my choice" because even without said hurdles, I'm not a worthwhile person anyway, so the other person would stand to gain even less than I do.

When you know you can't win and there's nothing to gain by winning regardless, there's no point in trying at all, simple as that. It's not even like I'm dismissing relationships as a whole, if it works for others all the more power to them, but I'm not going to pretend its something for me too.

They're both just trash. We like to call Trump voters "idiots," but as far as the working class was concerned, there was no non-idiotic choice to make. People feel trapped.

Indeed, as terrible as Trump will be for the lower class, only a complete fool would claim that Clinton was a good choice for them either. "She'll be more of Obama" probably did more to create flip/drop-off votes than any scandal ever could have.

Personally, I sure as hell didn't vote in this election despite being more left-leaning than right. Hell, I've never voted in *any* Presidential election, but then you have to remember that my "possible first" was Bush versus Kerry, to which can you really blame me for becoming immediately disillusioned with politics and being apathetic to them for over a decade?
