yup just wasted 6 lives on mecha sonic

which is a shame because the concept is sound, but the physics of it is so amazingly flawed. The hitbox for the ball is WAY too picky, rubber sonic is too heavy to reasonably be aimed, and goading it to make the right type of move takes way to long. Not to mention the stages between them are just walking to the right. It's almost like it was intentional to waste time.

My theory's that no one Robot Master is exceptionally stronger than the rest, but Metal Man's a safe choice to be near the top if not be the strongest one of all (MM2 character, cool design, great music, neat stage, fun fight, awesome power, referenced first in Mega Man's SSB4 powers-reveal). I also think people largely love Mega Man games because of the Robot Masters, so I can see him being around or even better than Dr. Wily and Protoman -- no chance he's a bust like Sigma or Roll anyway. It's about time we find out!

I don't know if you've been following but woodman is wayyy more popular now thanks to the memeifcation of mm2wood.mid

Typically theres a layer of complexity with a hex board that makes it hard to account for from both the player's and game designer's perspective. The net result usually ends up with a game that cant reach its true potential as well as a square grid.

Oddly enough, the same thing cant be said about a distance based design that has a circular type range (phantom brave, valkaria chronicles) so its really only games with hex grids that have this problem
