Infinite World doesn't qualify at being an actual sequel as it's really just a streamlined Budokai 3 (some features removed, some characters replaced, some minor gameplay changes and it's basically the same game). Shin Budokai doesn't qualify as it's portable. Just more replay value and the controls are more sensible. Wat? Day have da same controls Burst Limit has faster gameplay, but lacks Buu Saga characters which is really confusing. who cares about da boo saga SB and IW have an actual story too I'm not sure I'd really call what BL had a story mode. Wat? It had a story mode; Z Chronicles. Covered DBZ up to the Cell saga. Looking back BL didn't have anything SB or IW didn't have outside of online. Beam struggles, drama pieces, Aura Spark and those pursuit rushes. --- Sad! |

The Shin Budokai games feel more like spin-offs, since they're portable games whereas Budokai 3 was on home console. Burst Limit is really the closest thing to Budokai 4; same basic gameplay style as the Budokai games with all the tweaks the Shin Budokai games made and beefed up graphics. --- Sad! |
