CC out a month, Bird with a setback, going to miss at least another month, Hicks and Sanchez hurt today, 3 close losses in a row that all should have been won including 2 walkoffs.

reminds me just a bit of the Mets. of course the Yanks are still in first place with decent depth to replace most of these guys. and the hardest guy to replace, Sanchez, probably isn't gonna miss much time.

I flushed 450 or so points down the drain by surrendering before locking in my B team that had the bonus unit for the final battle instead of starting the fight and then surrendering (I usually ride Reinhardt and Ike + healer and lvl 3 dancer to the final > surrender > pick bonus unit and surrender > win with Sanaki, Linde, Nino, Olivia). :(

i've done that twice now and i typically use 1 team to do everything. it's just if they do fail on the last map, my second-best team isn't too great, so i prefer to do 2 extra surrenders to lower their HP as much as possible.

also totally agree on the grind, though i think even half is too much. the 10th stratum quests take what, 9 stamina x15x4 = 540. 540 stam on this event gets you 18,330 if you're perfect. something around that level or maybe a bit less would be alright.

i have an astigmatism so probably not worth what it would cost

also i've noticed i'm so used to glasses now, if i don't wear them outside, my eyes are really sensitive to wind.

i lost Tharja on the very first stage in one of my runs yesterday. the map where you start off on different sides of a bridge in the middle, and Kagero one of the enemies, with no chance to get into desperation before taking her on. so i just baited with Tharja, who has a lot more def than Linde, and also allow Linde to ardent sacrifice Tharja. but whoops, Tharja can't one-round Kagero, and there's wings of mercy Palla to finish off Tharja.

somehow was able to get all the way to the last map with just Eirika, Ninian and Linde. ran into very few green units in general, and it was stuff like Gunter, who's super low res for Linde to still kill, or Julia, who's frail and slow enough for Eirika to kill. all 3 characters had single digit HP left by the end.

the Yankees must really want a first baseman, the mock drafts having them take Evan White or Nick Pratto. they could be the 3rd and 4th first basemen taken in just the first half of the first round.

here's my setup. it's a lot less than what some others are doing, even.

Linde with blarblade+, desperation 3, moonbow
Eirika with reposition, fortify res seal
base Ninian
4* Tharja with desperation 3

Linde is the carry. with just Eirika's buffs, she has 57 effective atk (she's atk bane). with Ninian that's 60. Tharja (49/52 effective atk) can kill any green unit. Linde can kill most non-green units. for really fast units like Lon'qu or high res units like Faye, Linde often needs her special charged. Jagen, Wrys, and Linde are about the only non-green units that can survive her even with the special charged.

if they die, i have a team with a fully decked out Hector and some other characters i haven't used SI on at all (Lucina, Nino, Azura). that's usually good enough to beat the last stage. if i die before the last stage, it's usually the goddamn cliff map and i have my flier team take care of that first.
