What are the issues?

From what I understand, a lot of the argument is just feelings, not science. People don't like the idea that food has been genetically modified because they don't understand what that means, but "genetically modified" is a scary word, so it must be a bad thing.

Some people try to use science, but it's usually always wrong. Like some might list off some chemical names used in the process and say that they're bad because they are used in some other process. This is ignoring that chemicals have different uses in different applications, and also the dosage could completely change how it reacts.

Some other people just think the word "chemical" and "modify" is inherently bad. Even though literally everything is a chemical.

And then there's the people who think all natural is better, better tasting, better for you, better for the environment. You know, natural stuff like asbestos, arsenic, and tobacco, all good for you. This is the appeal to nature fallacy.

I just watched his newest Netflix special yesterday. He ended on a story about Starbucks, specifically how confusing they are and people who drink there are annoying. It was great, and had nothing about his height.

oh, i feel this. the grind start when they stopped introducing new type of enemies, although it isn't so bad. at taht point you're fighting every type of enemy all at the same time and it provide decent challenge. i think t could be smoother, n that regard, but it is really good for what it is.

The problem for me was that maybe 4-5 levels before the last I upgraded everything I wanted (which was most stuff). Before that point I made sure I found all the upgrades before finishing the level, but after I got everything I wanted, I bee lined to the end of each level.

Still an amazing game though, it was my GOTY.

Just yesterday I re-upped my Netflix account because I heard great things about Black Mirror, so I watched it yesterday and today.

Very good series, but the next episode I have is The Waldo Moment, so that kinda sucks.

It's not AWFUL, it's just easily the least compelling.

Man, I couldn't binge Black Mirror like that, though. Hard cap of one a day. I needed to give them room to breathe.

One episode a day is what was recommended to me, but I was dog sitting at someone's house for the weekend, so I needed something to watch. Now I won't have time for more than 1 per day.

It's even worse when you can't find out where it's playing. Is it in the top center under the headline? Is it in a tiny box in the bottom right corner scrolling with you? Is it a static video on the right where all the ads are, forcing you to look at all the ads to find the one that's playing a video?

Part of the problem is right in the beginning. WHY did the dude become news? He made a meme gif, literally hundreds are made everyday. This dude wasn't even the first to make a Trump/CNN wrestling gif. This was a non-story that CNN is blowing out of proportion. Have you ever seen a meme and thought "I need to find who the creator of this is"? No, because who cares.

And then there's the part where CNN said they reserve the right to release his name, that parts pretty bad too, even if CNN claims that line is misunderstood.

Ah, if you didn't know, you didn't know. But yeah - Nintendo owns the rights to Bayonetta 2, it's the SOLE reason Bayonetta 2 even exists, as was stated when the game was being made.

To elaborate a little more on this, Platinum went to Microsoft, Sony, and other publishers to try and get funding for Bayonetta 2, and they all declined. That's when Nintendo came and funded the game. So like you said before, Bayonetta 2 literally wouldn't exist if it weren't for Nintendo.

The creator, Hideki Kamiya, said this about the people begging for a port:

As I have said earlier, if you want Bayonetta 2 on PS4 or Xbox One, how about trying to ask Nintendo… If Nintendo doesn’t say yes, it’s not going to happen… While you’re at it, try asking for Mario and Zelda too…

Having worked and managed a Dairy Queen for 5 years, this has always been a rule. Not the "have it free" part (at least at my store), but the turning upside down part. We were supposed to do it, but we rarely did, and no one cared. I always had fun when I didn't, but then they grab it and slowly turn it upside down, as if it was going to spill. So I ask for it, turn it upside down, and violently shake it, and they laugh.

The person blending it will know right away what it'll do while blending it. Usually the blizzards with some kind of juice in them, strawberrys, pineapple, maybe chocolate syrup, those are the ones that could spill, and the person will know not to turn it over. Hawaiian (pineapple, coconut, and banana, banana could be soft enough to act kinda like a liquid) was the worst, don't try and turn that upside down. Any others without juice? Almost impossible to spill.

Yes it is, because they didn't, and had no intention of, saying a word. They were silent the whole time. If the heckler, who had not said a word, got thrown out because they wrote bad reviews before, that would also be a problem.

These did not happen. He was quite the whole time, and didn't have any intention of debating her that day. He has asked to debate her before, but for that panel, they just sat quietly and watched.

Relating to this, customer comes in 5 minutes before closing, orders:

"That will be $4.23"
"Come on, your closing soon, can't I just have it?"
"Nope"
"What are you going to do with it? Throw it away? Why not just give it to me?"

Yes I am going to throw it away (pizza), no I'm not going to give it away. I can always say there's cameras, management, normal reasons, but the real reason I learned very early in my fast food career. If you give someone free food at the end of the day, they will NEVER come in the middle of the day and pay, and will ALWAYS be right at your counter, every night, begging for free food. If word gets out that I give away free food at night (and it has before, I had to shut that down), I'll have lines of people asking for free things before closing.

You give a customer an inch, they take a mile. I've given customers a discount because I'm in a good mood that day, and then another day they come, get the same thing, and I don't give them a discount, so they say "but last time you gave it to me for less", and that's the last time they will get a discount. A general rule for me was if any regular, non elderly/veteran person ASKS for a discount, they don't get one. Usually it starts with "come on..." "so can you give me..." "since it's so late...". If you get a discount, it's because I'm feeling nice, or you were a cool customer, but it's my choice. But basically demanding a discount for no reason at all, and getting mad when I don't, nope. And if you keep pushing it after I said no, I'll make sure my coworkers don't give you a discount either, because I know you'll try with them too.

Keep in mind that these discounts are only 10% off, basically nothing, but people will get FURIOUS over that.

I know everyone hates him, but DSP had to do the same. Apparently the video that got taken down and gained a strike was ONLY persona fusions. And he wasn't at the date Atlus said don't show.

I went to the same school as the man who came up with the paper that is used as foundation for it all.

Andrew Wakefield? He just started the whole "vaccines caused autism" thing. Which was retracted and debunked pretty hard.

If you want to talk about corrupt scientists, Wakefield is huge. The story in short, a group of parents wanted to sue vaccine manufacturers because they believed vaccines caused their children's autism/brain deficiencies. So they hired a lawyer, Richard Barr, but the problem is vaccines don't cause autism, and there's no proof it does, so Barr hired Wakefield (and paid him a lot of money per hour), to do a test that proves vaccines cause autism. Scientist being paid by a lawyer to help sue vaccine manufacturers. And that's the smallest conflict of interest.

Wakefield started his experiment, but he needs test subjects. How about the kids of the parents who are suing the manufacturers! You know, the ones that already have brain problems (not necessarily autism). The rest of the children can be gotten at anti-vaccine rallies. Even then, his results (12 kids, very small sample), showed that vaccines don't cause autism. So how do you fix that? Well just lie about the results. Not a single child was reported correctly. Some never had autism after the vaccine (but was reported they had), some had autism BEFORE the vaccine, and some developed autism 6+ months after the vaccine.

The kicker to all this, while doing his experiments, Wakefield filed a patent for a new, "safer" vaccine, that he was going to sell after he "proved" that the current vaccine is dangerous.

That's why I laugh when people use the movie "Vaxxed" as an argument because the director is none other than Wakefield himself. If I had a choice between "corrupt" modern scientists and Wakefield, I'd pick the "corrupt" scientists.

I just recently saw a story on Facebook about a mother who's daughter was unable to get vaccined, and a non-vaccinated child got a disease and passed it to the daughter. The picture was the daughter in the hospital and the text was refuting the "point" anti-vaxxers make of "if your vaccinated, why are you worried about my unvaccinated kid?" Because some people can't be vaccinated for various reasons. Plus vaccines aren't 100% effective.

The comments to this status were tons of anti-vaxxers saying don't trust the government, I know what's best for my kid, I never got vaccinated and I'm fine, and I vaccinated once before and got a side effect (just like all medicine has), therefore vaccines are harmful, not helpful.

Not sarcasm; I was just serious misinformed. I confused Sargon for Joey Salads somehow. .

I figured that's what happened, I thought the same thing for the first few seconds when TC posted the second video, but I'm very familiar with Joey Salads so I was like "wait...this is Joey Salads". Other people who aren't as familiar might not have made the connection. It's all good.

Side note, someone tweeting at Sargon had a nice line about the whole thing: "I hate harassment. Also, that guy right there is a shithead garbage human!"

There is definitely a lack of bosses, and I'm not a fan on how doing all the games' content gives the final boss a handicap in your favor, but overall it's still a fantastic game. Hands down the best one they ever made.

Is it really that bad? I haven't done the final boss yet because when you do, the game doesn't reset back to before you fought the boss and can then free roam more like previous installments.

Yes it does. After the final fight, it reloads the game as if you never fought the boss, so you can leave and keep exploring.

If you want to know what the handicap is (it's not that big a deal) it's the boss starts with half HP.
