| Wii3Kings 07/12/17 11:51:25 AM #10 | I was a teller for a credit union in high school/college. In '97 I was making $8.75 by the time I left five years later I was making $14. Since CUs are not for profit there was no pressure to cross sell items. When I started we had to wear suit and tie. Towards the end it was khakis and polo shirts. It was an easy job with much room for advancement depending on number of branches in the area. It was normal for people to move from teller-member services-loan officers in a span of five years. My credit union also paid 80% of my tuition in college as long as I maintained a 3.0 or better average. --- |

But during those 45 minutes, you're cleaning the floors, cleaning the bathroom, folding a separate load of sheets or kids clothes (yes, it's common to have multiple loads of laundry to do in a day). It's not like you just sit on your hands while the laundry machines are going. There's plenty of other cleaning to do, housework, handyman stuff, bills... it really almost never ends. It does seem like it never ends. In the summer my kids will do their own clothes and cook some. I view my goal during the school year is to do every thing that needs to be done so when my kids and wife are home we have free time to do whatever we'd like to do whenever we'd like. When working, it felt like almost all free time my wife and I had were household related or some errands we had to do. --- |

I also have retired parents that I help them with when they need things (grocery shop, home repairs, etc,). I also was a teacher so I will volunteer from time to time at my kids school in which ever class room that might need help. --- |

For $5 more my wife and kids could have their own spotify (for lack of a better term). Plus being able to play any song when I like is nice. --- |

I don't know why it really changed, I know of no one who got complaints before the change, let alone now. Plus the city doesn't do a great job mowing public spaces (medians and parks), I've seen public grass as tall as 3 feet. --- |

I would imagine that car racing is the same as any sport when it comes to agreements between participants and companies that makes equipment. Sometimes, money is involved in the agreement. Legally there is an agreement between libraries and publishing companies. Most libraries are nonprofit, publishers are able to use the agreement as a tax right-off as a donation. (There have been legal battles between publishers and authors over this). The music at a party is the same as playing a movie or video game around friends. In copyright laws this is a grey area, but hard to enforce so companies don't bother with it. However, there have been instances of sharing movies,music, video game play online that has gone to court. It is much easier for these companies to argue that it cuts into the profits they could make off their respective properties when they are mass shared. --- |
