That's paleo. It's a bit different.

With keto, you just eat high fat, moderate protein, and no carb (well, under 20g per day, but it's best to keep this as low as possible). You can pretty much eat as much as you like while doing this diet, and you'll still lose weight because your body is in ketosis, which is "rapid fat-burning mode".

Just trust me on this. If you can stick to this diet for a few weeks, you will see the results you're after.

I can't justify supporting it being covered by the NHS (I feel like it might be more justifiable with private health insurance in the USA, but I don't live there so I don't care).

It seems like it doesn't actually reduce suicide rates amongst transgenders that much. If it was guaranteed to fix their gender dysphoria / depression / suicide rates, I wouldn't be against my tax money going towards it, but that just doesn't seem to be the reality.

And don't listen to this. Diet drinks are fine, they have zero calories AND zero carbs. Eventually, it would be better if you just drank water, but diet drinks are way better than regular ones in the meantime.

If you're badly overweight then carbs will matter. You should be doing keto to lose the weight.

If you really need to eat McDonald's, get a Big Mac and eat it without the buns. It's 6g of carbs that way and you should be aiming for under 20g per day.
