I'm guessing you thought I was talking about the special editions, which were re-released in theaters, and then updated later after the prequels were made They weren't computer generated. They were rotoscoping. If you think the original Star Wars could do computer generation when it was insanely expensive and impractical, and the original Star Wars was considered a failure before release, I don't know ow what to tell you. |

Poor guy was straight up murdered for no reason. That police department needs slapped the fuck down so they train their officers better. It's an overreaction, but any legal case is going to have to prove that he knew Castille wasn't reaching for a gun, which they can't. But at least the cop is off the force now. |

Kaname_Madoka posted...Kajagogo posted...And Then There Were None It's a murder mystery where a bunch of people visit an island, and keep getting killed off one by one, written by Agatha Christie, arguably the best whodunnit writer ever. I also recommend Murder on the Orient Express for her. I'm also going to HEAVILY recommend Robert Jackson Bennet. Horror/scifi for him is American Elsewhere, about a woman who inherits a house from her mother in a town she's never been to, and starts discovering the secrets of the town. Horror/Dark Fantasy for him is The Troupe, a story about a young gifted pianist who chases a performance troupe he believes is run by his father, set in the great depression. And for one of the best fantasy trilogies out there, The Divine Cities, a story about two continents who, a few decades ago, had a great war that killed the gods that were ruling both continents, leading one continent to ruin and freeing the other from slavery. Amazing characters and stories. |

It's a creepy story, built up well through the first half, and then it all comes crashing down in a rush because the pacing of this book is so goddamn weird. OctilIery 06/25/17 10:12:07 AM #89 | Four Past Midnight 1990 Fantastic collection! Three amazing, one just ok. The Langoliers Creepy and intriguing. Toomey is a great villain, and the growing sense of dread is fantastic. 8/10 Secret Window, Secret Garden Wasn't a huge fan, though admittedly I had the twist spoiled for me. It was ok, just not particularly gripping. 5/10 The Library Policeman Arguably the creepiest novella King has ever done. Easily the best of the collection. 10/10 The Sun Dog Not quite what I expected, but still very, very good. I was thinking something more omen-ish from the description, but instead we got a story that just builds and builds to the conclusion. 9/10 |
