I think there's a big misdirect going on because there is absolutely no way Mae's fire in one room is what actually burned down the coven. I think one of the Jedi did it.

I feel like Koril is probably heavily involved in whatever happened personally. I don't believe she's dead.

I enjoyed it well enough, but I don't think any scene hit nearly as hard as the Bing Bong scene in the first one.

I guess it's just different for everyone, and I'm not saying that wasn't an emotional scene and I probably did shed a tear at it, but it didn't quite resonate with me in the same fashion as the scenes in this one did. I just felt a more personal connection with the theme this time.

I dunno, I feel like from what I've seen at least, that Chuck is kinda irreplaceable. Like who is a legitimate top 75 player with the credentials to say he's one of the best ever but also has all the charisma to carry a show and be essentially the "color commentator" of the team. I've said before I liked Garnett and Webber, from what I've seen Rasheed and GP are funny but do they need help to be funny, I'm just not sure? Like generally when I'm thinking about it, the people I feel that way about are usually only funny when Barkley is also there.

JJ is also good, but as an analyst. He's not gonna bring that same energy. Then there are like huge assholes like Arenas out there.

Barkley is a really frugal guy, I don't think he cares about money that much because he likely has plenty of it. I feel like the only reason he renewed his contract before was because he didn't want to let down the team at TNT, and now when it seems pretty certain that will be no more, there's no real pressure on him to keep on going.

I'm sure he'll make some appearances here and there as a guest, but I'm inclined to believe him when he says he's retiring from contractual work.

If the goal was to groom Draymond to take his place, it's failed miserably. RIP good basketball shows. I guess I'm gonna have to get used to watching more First Things First, but it's not just a NBA show so it's not gonna fill the void as well.

We saw this last night. I'm curious to see if this can right the ship for Disney's animation department, and I really think it deserves to do well. I haven't ranked the Pixar movies in many years now, but I'd probably put this one pretty high up there. The characters are improved over the original, especially Joy.

Just a few things I wanted to mention so using the spoiler tags for it: This movie really struck a chord with me. Anxiety is a character that's hard to describe because it's one of those sorts of characters that you really like, but you also sort of hate at the same time. The depiction of Anxiety feels so spot on, at least to me. I've always struggled with the very feelings they had on display here, and yeah several times I cried in the back half of the film. Particularly with Joy's speech after Anxiety destroys the chute that launches memories to the back of the mind, when Anxiety's newly formed sense of self for Riley says the phrase "I'm not good enough", during the depiction of Riley's anxiety attack and when Joy replaces both of former sense of selfs with one that is more nuanced and contains a multitude of thoughts. Typing those out was enough to make me cry again just thinking about them. Probably haven't had a Pixar movie tear me up that way since Coco. I cry at all of them at some point though because I'm a sap.

The movie experience was only slightly dampened by a family of 3 that just had to buy the seats directly beside us. Who goes to a movie where there are like 50 open seats and chooses to sit right next to strangers? They wouldn't even move over one seat so I had to fight back tears while I'm sitting next to this dude I don't know! Maybe he cried too, I never made eye contact after they sat down so that's what I'm gonna tell myself.

I stuck with the main playable cast for a reason, because Gogo was really only nominated to complete it. I still think that's a shame since he ended up having no actual backer, so living through FOG was always gonna be tough.

Anyway, I still find Kefka overrated. I like him ok though, would rank between Terra and Sabin. Banon and Leo probably just behind Gogo or just in front depending how I'm feeling. Gestahl lol no

Locke > Shadow > Setzer > Edgar > Celes > Cyan > Terra > Sabin > Gogo > Gau > Relm > Mog > Strago > Umaro

Quick FF6 playables ranking to celebrate them all finally making an appearance. Gogo is fine, I'd say that they're right on the line where I like the character okay enough. Below Gogo is when I would say I start disliking the characters. At least most of these guys aren't around anymore.

I guess even a few people survived at Jonestown. The people that would attend these rallies are long gone though I think. Sort of hearkens back to what was being talked about earlier. Maybe if this was 2016 a few of these people would wake up, but 8 years later I don't think that's in the realm of possibility.

But I can still enjoy his idiocy for my own amusement at least.

It's just a bizarre argument to get hung up on. Like if there was never a timeline where Dark Nation or these vieras appeared in the contest and Stamp was being argued against as not "character enough", then sure, maybe I'd agree. But the fact all this garbage has already been allowed in, the door should just be open to virtually anything now. The way I look at it now is that if Stamp was simply allowed to be in, maybe these nonsense characters would have never been nominated to begin with. Now just about each year more junk makes its way in, so the contest is actually a lot worse off for not having Stamp.

Honestly, if things like the vieras are going to be allowed anyway I'm not sure why Stamp isn't just let in. I personally think it's a little dumb, but we're at a stage where most people who participate in this have either seen their true favorites win or have given up hope they ever could. So people just want to have fun project characters and see how far they can push them.

Stamp is at least a mascot and fairly prominent in terms of his image. Much moreso than vieras with almost no screentime from a game that even has a poorly performing playable character cast. If this was ever about the "purity" of what's allowed in SMFFFC, I'm pretty sure that by not allowing Stamp in that mission was failed.
