"jiff" is objectively correct: The GIF89A specification says that's how you pronounce it, and the creator of the file format has repeatedly said that's how you pronounce it.
But it is subjectively wrong, because a hard G is faster to say and looks more natural for the spelling.

Pro-tip, never delete anything. Just have a "deleted" flag in all your tables in the database and filter everything marked deleted out. This way if the customer deletes something you can just toggle that flag with a one-liner query.

You'll probably need this for auditing and maintaining referential integrity, anyway.

A plain pizza is a pizza with no toppings (and not a white pizza), in the NY/NJ/Philly area, which also happens to be where the best pizza is located. Therefore, this is the correct term. By extension, if you've NEVER heard anybody say it, you have never been exposed to the best pizza.

At work we have enterprise versions of Windows that have ads/telemetry/xbox/etc. turned off, and can even function normally in a completely isolated network environment. I know these distros are expensive and may require infrastructure (AD). But is there a business/service that will basically provide the support to let me run one? I'm not talking about a Geek Squad type thing. I'm asking about a service that will give me a licensed and sanitized Windows install and even push out updates to my local machine, while not actually employing me. I could imagine other benefits, like nightly backups. Obviously, I'd be transferring my trust from MS to this company, but it might be worth it.

I've worked for around ten companies, ranging from four to 120k+ employees. The advantages/disadvantages are not directly related to the size of the company. I would not recommend working for a company without at least the usual benefits, so that's not an issue. Even small companies can have 401(k) and health insurance. A large company will tend to offer insurance plans that are more widely accepted, but the plans may otherwise not be as good (since cutting costs may be more important than employee retention). Excessive layers of management can be an issue in large companies, but in practice, you don't always "feel" it. DEIA is generally better in larger companies, but you can also intentionally find an enlightened boss/owner in a small company. In summation, I can't make a general judgement...

Thinking back, maybe it's more important to look at companies "tuned" to the income that you are targeting. In other words, if you are a high earner at a company full of minimum wage workers, many policies won't quite suit your needs. But an entry-level admin at BigLaw might have the same problem.

I currently work for a ten-person company, and it's great.

A polo is inappropriate for a wedding unless the invitation specifies casual. It's as simple as that. But a jacket and tie is usually okay, unless the invitation explicitly states formal (or black tie, etc.). In warm weather, linen jackets are cool enough for non-babies, or you can take off your jacket once you are seated.

Just throw in a separate SSD (SATA or NVMe, doesn't matter) and install Linux to it and try it for every non-gaming task. To be simple, grab the latest Ubuntu LTS which should be 24.04 at this point I think. Get a decent drive like a 1TB Crucial mx500 or similar. For good measure make sure your Windows drive is unplugged when you install Linux to your new drive.

How fast is the switch? Is each OS hibernating in between or rebooting? In my particular situation, even if it was fast, I wouldn't want to lose certain network connections for quick gaming break.
