"They have an ego" is very much something without any fixed meaning. We tell creatives they have to get out there, sell themselves, be strong....but then we decide this is bad and they're egotistical if it doesn't hit a shifting, undefined standard. A lot of creatives (Especially men) are very full of themselves too and it doesn't matter or their product lands.

But she's doing nothing that others don't.

This seems to be a step beyond just a normal launch from some cursory glances at people talking about it, like some big pre-order campaign, insane hype, etc. This feels more akin to a massive hyped Kickstarter going to absolute shit despite promises, more than some rookie author just overhyping herself and failing.

Seems more like a scam that took advantage of social media hype than just a simple passion project that happened to turn out badly. If it's that bad, I'm sure she was told by more than just editors.

The new mechanics feel pretty pointless. The floor scrubber thing is too janky to feel cathartic, and the soap doesn't really do anything mechanically (guess you could nerf yourself to the cheapest washer to make it more worthwhile). Still fun, but I feel like a sequel would have warranted more stuff, like different ways of cleaning, bonuses for using lifts and ladders instead of just parkouring, a slight realism mode with physics where water drips down and can make things dirty and you can track dirt and grime.

Don't think so. Most of the negatives about it are related to corpos trying to milk it. If there's a bubble burst, it's not going to affect AI as a whole, just those who unrealistically expected it to shift industries that aren't ready.

Yeah, it was not the best start to the timeskip. I think he should have brought back Arlong somehow instead of bringing in Hody. The whole new generation thing works fine thematically, but it also makes Hody the worst villain by far.

If you have the choice between using utensils and your hands, I'd say it's fairly strange to use your hands. It doesn't really feel analogous to other finger foods because most of those are large singular items.

Manga Saitama has been given a known base variable around probably destroying a planet with a some number of punches and exponential constant growth when facing a direct threat. So anyone who can reasonably casually blow up planets can probably one shot him easily, but if they play around hell grown beyond them quickly.

Im still confused how anyone other than the severely mentally ill can find enough consistency to have any kind of dialogue that they find appealing. It has to be like 99% projection and imagination, because these things are still pretty shitty.

It's good, but it suffered from being four episodes too short and spending too much time on characters that won't really mean anything until this second season. HB suffers from the opposite where they've kind of just dragged it out way too long and there are way too many unnecessary things. I would say she's just not the best showrunner in the world, so hopefully the indie and mainstream experience will help her on future seasons and productions.

Removing characters is a necessity at some point in any franchise like this, but Pokemon is still the largest grossing franchise and has absolutely no excuse for bowing out as early as they did. Gamefreak is definitely not in a too many cooks situation, so their refusal to evolve is the biggest problem.

rebalancing 1000+ unique creatures each with like 100 possible moves and 2-3 abilities each sounds like complete hell. Especially when it comes to having to do so for both a good jrpg progression and competitive

It would definitely be impossible for a small but long franchise, but TPC could easily give Gamefreak the resources if they asked for it. From the way the latest leaks made it sound, they've been offered outside help and refused it prior, so it seems like the main problem is Gamefreak being a shitty company run by idiots.

Overall, I dislike the direction the series has gone since introducing Nika to everything. I much prefer the idea of Propaganda Rocks being just so chaotic that they had no choice but to team up to put him down. Tying everything back to some ancient fate between Joyboy, Davy Jones, and Imu is way too reminiscent of how Naruto and Bleach went to shit at the end. This is just like a slow burn version that won't be resolved for 400 chapters.

Nah, they have the resources to hire a full team of balancers who could easily work full time to make sure all Pokemon are fully balanced. There is an upper limit to an ever increasing roster, but Pokemon is one that could easily handle it until they get to like 2000+. They just choose not to because they seemingly have no pride in the games, just another money maker.

It has plenty of practical uses and utilities. The problem is this stupid rush to be the front-runner, shoving it into every facet of life when it's nowhere near ready, and putting it in places we'll never need it.

No. The games are not balanced around it in the least. If they want to make the games piss easy without putting in any effort, they should have just allowed you to switch it from 0 to 2x exp.

Nah, its better without it. Specifically making multiple games with singing characters and having dedicated scenes with them singing is the stupid part.

I'd see people complaining that the scope is too large, but it wouldn't be many if they actually were to somehow make a balanced and fun game out of all that. It's amazing we live in the timeline where Nintendo's biggest franchise is the worst managed game-wise.

Not sure I agree. Rocks managed to take down Garling and potentially other Holy Knights without much trouble and managed to save the life of his son (and maybe wife)? Whatever happens now he is going off on a high note.

I don't mind Rocks having other motivations, but for 7 years we were led to believe he was basically just such a lunatic that Roger and Garp had no choice but to put him down. Now, Oda's shifted things around so much that it's going to just be all Imu's fault. It would be one thing if it was just all Oda's plan to mislead the reader through in-universe propaganda, but this flashback is already incongruent the other snippets of GV that we've seen prior.

Of the myriad of issues with AI, I can't say artistic intent means much of anything to me on the day to day things that I consume. I have playlists of songs I've listened to hundreds of times where I probably couldn't tell you the band if you put a gun to my head. I do follow particular artists I like, but it's not a priority to associate artists to most of what I like.

Overall, turning Rocks from a chaotic evil bastard who forced Roger and Garp to team up into a chaotic neutral bastard who is probably going to be flipped by Imu is ultimately pretty boring turn of events.

I would personally say the epilogue is not worth it if you feel done with the game. Easier to just look it up on Youtube. If you're still loving the gameplay, then it can be a good goal to work towards.

With development cycles taking so long and sometimes stretching between console generations, it's hard to imagine a AAA game ever doing that again, especially with how badly ME fumbled at the end. If AI ever becomes good enough to use in games, that could be one potential strength, allowing for dynamic events that can be automatically structured based on past data.

I think I tried the negative EXP one in Super Paper Mario just to see it.

Seems like they have too much durability and a bit of unnecessary flourish on some of the moves, but otherwise all the movements seem to be realistic.

True canon is the webcomic. Manga canon is the final volume release. He does most of his redraws for the volumes, but Murata has gone off the deep end in recent years on both the general plot turning into the very thing the whole series is parodying and insane bouts of redrawing stuff over and over. I'm under the assumption that ONE stopped working with him on the manga a while back because he's too busy with his own serializations, and Murata has to be going through some kind of personal identity crisis.

Its hilarious how both commercial versions lost all their soul and became slop, while the webcomic is still going strong whenever he feels like making a chapter. Definitely poetic.

His biggest thing is that he puts his self-image over everything else. You could probably play armchair psychologist and say that he has self-esteem issues from his clearly strained family life and upbringing, but I'd say he's just a massive narcissist. Ultimately, it seems like everything related to the charity was laziness and stupidity, but his reasons for not coming forward when he supposedly found out all clearly relate to his public image. He uses weasel phrases throughout to make himself look as best as possible while admitting the minimum amount of fault.

Hes definitely trying to leverage the speculative stuff to undermine how shitty and shady he was throughout it all.

Everything about that looks janky as fuck. The whole intro is like one of those nonsensical mobile game commercials.

I will never understand what gets people to this point. It's like they're so up their ass, they think they have the means and ability to restructure the entire world. Thats the same with every industry shift in the last 400 years. The only difference is this one also has a lot of dumb baggage and bullshit to go with it that will make the transition a lot messier as invested parties to their best to monopolize it.

The general humor is pretty funny, from the early "lol random" stuff to the actual thought out later stuff. The VAs are all good as well (once they settle into things), compared to some other series that don't do the best job on the voice aspect. DBZA does get a bit up its own ass later on, so I can see why that turns off some people.

AC is such a weird series. It felt like they were building up to a modern day AC starring Desmond, but then they drop it all on a pretty stupid ending and then the modern day stuff got even dumber.

Great until it becomes worse Cell.

I would say I have never felt that a timer has made anything more fun. Unless youre a speed runner, it is a rather pointless gimmick.
