But nobody has bothered to pull me over for it, there are a few other people up here that have them and the cops just do not give a fuck. But we are pretty lax with the rules anyways, people drive their ATVs and side by sides on the road all the time, especially in winter. Essentially, it was the system that governed the spawn/behavior of mobs/npcs. It gave you that feeling of a persistent world. Everything on the map exists independent of you, even if you couldn't see them, the game kept track of every creature and ran sims on what they were doing. They scrapped that entirely after lying to us and we ended up with the bubble where things outside of that perimeter just don't exist yet. Nothing is happening in the world outside of the bubble centered on your character and once something leaves that bubble it gets shadow realmed. --- My head's not torn off, my sunglasses aren't broken. Removing Alife is the greatest sin, however. As a diehard fan of the OG games it is extremely frustrating that they lied to us and didn't implement it and instead went with the spawn bubble every other AAA trash uses. It was bad, REALLY bad, early on when you'd have shit spawn literally on top of you and it just breaks the immersion so much. It is a little better now, but unless they fully implement an Alife 2.0 system, I don't think I'll seriously go back to it. --- My head's not torn off, my sunglasses aren't broken.
