I have mentioned this before but despite not being a graphics junkie I just can't get over the retro look. Like it was fine for games back in that era in the 90's but I want better now. It doesn't have to be world class but at least give me Story of Seasons/Animal Crossing level graphics.

Like I get it, it was made by 1 guy. I understand why it was made that way but I just can't get over the look. So despite me loving these style games Stardew Valley puts me off. But yeah Coral Island clearly straight up ripped off like 3 other franchises and added the ocean element. But I mean Stardew creator openly talks about how he was heavily inspire by Harvest Moon.

I just feel like Coral Island actually delivered the best package for presentation, amount of stuff to do and overall appeal. And the character portrait drawings are seriously awesome. Much better looking characters than on Animal Crossing or Story of Seasons.

I find Stardew much more appealing and timeless than the generic style of coral island personally

Nintendo has done some voodoo with the battery. A full charge lasts weeks for me. I have to charge my PS5 controller every other day.

same, ive had mine for 2, going on 3 months and have only had to charge it twice

I've always had an aversion to SotN because of its RPGness. Not that it's a bad game but always felt Super Metroid was better because of it. Unfortunately, SotN won the culture war there and since then there's been more RPG Metroidvanias than not. Notable standouts have been Shantae and Hollow Knight which is why I love them.

the RPGness is my favorite thing about it lol.

Even if we got to 1% the speed of light(7 million miles an hour) it would take us 1000 years to get there.
