TBH I never noticed much of a difference between MM games. There's the clear additions to the game that happen over the first three, but then the rest is just more Mega Man.

The first game was alright, I can see kids liking it.

It's no Wonder Boy though.

I think I played most of those games.

Phantasy Star is great until the endgame becomes kind of a slog.

Contra ain't that hard.

Put on the konami code if you wanna get used to the level design, but it's short and has simple patterns to everything.

You guys weren't kidding this is like FFXIII level of cutscenes in XVI.

But they are a lot better. Backstory was kind of boring, but after meeting Cid things are looking up! Plot feels like it's moving at least.

I never got around to playing 2 or 3 yet...

That's crazy. Play more NES games people. I could probably only fit 2 or 3 MM games on my list.

Yeah I found 90% of Ninja Gaiden to be really fair or at least not overly punishing. Levels aren't too long that you can't just memorize a few of the cheap deaths and push through. Really too bad about how the game flips the rules at the end though! Couldn't finish it myself because I just didn't want to do the final level over and over again for a multi phase boss.

I'll try a few times until I feel I got the pattern pretty good, and then decide if it's worth pushing through with current stats. I don't like doing fights that feel like attrition.

I think the Big Boss era is cool in a prequel Star Wars kind of way. Telling a story that would ultimately loop back to the beginning. People would even talk about it ending with a remake of Metal Gear or 2.

there's a difference between accepting something not real as real, and presenting something that is real incorrectly!

Really it's just that dominant vs recessive thing is like the very first thing you learn about genetics, like stuff that's been known since the 1800s. Too much man!

But liquid being bad at genetics is the only thing that makes sense
