I had the same thing with my past interview. Said they'd be in contact this week one way or the other. Of course, they told me I'd hear from them about the interview itself in January and I didn't get the email until mid February.

Hell yeah.

I've lost 80 or so lbs myself just by doing intermittent fasting and cutting out most alcohol (I turned to a daily drinker during the pandemic).

I'm at the point where I need further lifestyle/diet changes beyond 'eat my normal foods just way less of it' I think to see much further progress. Was about a year and a half to lose this much but in the last 2-3 months it's only been about 5-10 pounds.

I'm a hair over 6ft tall and went from just over 400lbs to ~320 currently... So I'm still damn large but I can tell you I can absolutely feel an insane positive difference in just... ability to move around and just being comfortable in general losing that much which is such a good motivator to keep going too.

Also I think a decent amount of the people who would be assholes about a thread like this already can't access CE anymore. =P

i definitely gained a lot of weight during the pandemic. Depression + staying home all the time + just out of college so a lot of my daily activities ended.

Big health victory today. Im officially below a 40 BMI, and no longer Class III obese. Itll be a long road until Im actually a healthy weight but Ill take a win where I can get it.

Tried to buy something online for a too-good-to-be-true price a little bit ago. Sent 500 via Venmo for it. No response from the seller since.

oh well I like 70% expected this to happen. Just kinda sucks anyway.

well my masters degree concentration is in quantitative analysis. Technically for education, but a lot of the work is transferable I think. I did social work because working directly in the education system with kids is a passion of mine and the nonprofit had a mission I believed in. Dream goal one day is to do work with a big government education agency or even like a school board.
But for now the private sector calls.

I think my problem is that I'm too honest out of fear that I'd get the job but be unprepared or that they would preemptively expect more of me than I'm capable of without allowing me time to train and get familiar. I think it'd be worse to actually get the job and then be fired within a week because I can't do the job.

I do know how to use all the software mentioned, and how to do the research needed I just havent used those skills in a few years. I hope I dont come off as incompetent and get fired lmao.

Well this new job definitely requires more experience and is an industry Im not at all familiar with, so itll probably take me a while to fully grasp what Im doing. But my old job was working with teenagers with anger management problems so its probably not that bad

Hopefully they actually send the offer. I have a friend that has been job hunting for months and four or five times he has come out of interviews with the expectation of an offer only to get ghosted.

Yeah Ive had this happen to me as well. Trying not to jinx it but (non-labor-intensive / dangerous field and factory) work in my town is not super easy to come by so they might go with someone else
