I dont think a fight of this magnitude would be fixed, no. It has nothing to do with Paul. He has fought a bunch of legitimate fights already, so there is no evidence that they would decide to fix the fight that, as I have already said, will likely be the most watched boxing fight of all time.

It's certainly getting a lot of attention, but the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight was over a decade in the making and the clash of two still capable legends was an amazing sell.

I don't expect it to do better than that but I also wouldn't be surprised. People do seem to like their freak show matches, and this is about as big as you can get with one.

The fact that its gonna be on Netflix and youre not gonna have to pay any extra for it I think will make it the most watched match ever. Expect to see a ton of ads two weeks before and leading up to the actual fight. Even if everybody doesnt necessarily watch it live, the replays are gonna be insane

I know you're really struggling with this idea that sometimes fights aren't completely honest, but if you just open up your mind to the possibility that a professional youtuber with a long history of stunts and a long-retired boxer might agree to not go 100% because it makes for a better show, I think you'll find the idea isn't that crazy.

It doesn't necessarily mean take a dive. It could just mean "slow roll the fight until at least round 7" because bookies and PPV stand to lose a lot of money if the fight itself is over in the first round. You don't need 1 fighter to get bought out and throw the fight if both are getting a cut of the house bets and are heavily incentivized to take it into later rounds.

Here's a betting table for a boxing match. The people who benefit are betting sites that make more money on a fight the longer the fight goes on. Just look at what the payout is for a round 1 KO vs a round 6 KO:

I know how boxing betting works, the reason that the payout is for a first round KO is more is because of how unlikely it is. It really doesnt happen in boxing often, especially compared to the ufc.
