One comment about Dark Force - I don't know if that's intentional, but 2:14 really subtly sounds like the Sabre Dance by Khachaturian. That's kinda cool.

Huh. Interesting. It is called "Bravo Company" on the Best VGM List so that's where I got it from.

Bravo - Is this not called, "Bravo Company" instead? Anyways, I remember this song from the Supra Best Discovery contest (it lost round 1 :( though). The synths here are insane. Cool song.

Holy Island - I like the percussion used here. Sounds pretty unique.

Valley of the Wind - Once again, Opoona just has some amazing synths. Nice piece.

Partizans - I think this is still my favorite Opoona song! It's so epic.

The Village without memories is easily my favorite discovery thus far! I love the acoustic guitar work.
Ruins in the Wilderness gives off Earthbound vibes, specifically at the beginning with the space-y noises.

Light Velocity is cool, but it's hard to vote against my favorite discovery from my hypothetical "Pokemon type vgm finals" where Fairytale Poison won the poison type contest.

Kataklysm has grown on me, and I wish I could enjoy it even more. However, Warcry is a favorite discovery from this contest, so it's hard for me to vote against that.

Pretty easy matches. I like three of the four songs here, but I'm afraid the only one I don't care for much is the one that might have the power to win the whole contest.

Match 1 has two good songs, and I'm guaranteed to get a win here even if MLW wins because I either nominated or supported both of these songs.

Match 2 has...welp. It has one song I dislike and one song I'm lukewarm on. Unfortunate, but you can't win them all I guess.

Fairly close matches. Decent day.

Ancient Ruins - The build-up in the beginning is quite nice. It feels like it kinda doesn't go anywhere for a while after that though. Overall an interesting piece though.

Great Dunes - the instrumentation is wonderful, as is the case for most Opoona songs. However, I feel like it could've had a stronger melody.

Cathedral - This is so peaceful. Beautiful piece. Argh! I'd easily take both songs in match 2 over match 1. I don't like when this happens. These are some tough matches.

Suna no Shiro -The Castle of Sand-

Chromesthesia grew on me a lot. Astraea is very sentimental and beautiful, but it's really hard for it to compete with one of my last remaining songs in the contest for me.

Aka historically has a good track record if I recall correctly; it did well in BOST 6 and has had two round 4 finishes in the past. However, I think it's about time to have Aka make it past that if you know what I mean. I hope it can pull through.

Neudori grew on me a lot since the last listen, but it's hard to vote against Nazca, which is one of my favorite discoveries from this contest.

Decent day overall. I wish I could like Nuedori and Farde more, but at least Neudori grew on me a lot since the last time, and Farde is in the competition for having the coolest name in the whole contest.

I adore Shining Eyes' operatic vocals so it's a damn shame the background "yeahs" really ruin the rest of the song for me :/ I literally have no other problem with the song except that one aspect, but it bothers me a lot.

Aaah match 3 is sooo hard. I don't even want to decide. I "supported" both in one way or another and don't want to see either lose. I would like to mention that Dad overheard me listening to Lunar Bass and stated he really enjoyed it though.

I like Let's Tap but mostly just ironically; the robotic vocalists saying, "Let's Tap" over and over again is just funny to me.

Shining Eyes is such a shame...I would like it if it weren't for the excessive "yeah"s in the background because the operatic vocals and instrumentation are quite nice.

First match sucks because it's favorite Hindsight 2022 song vs. favorite discovery from this contest

Literally why does both match 1 and 2 have four of the best songs in the contest? Like all four are around top 20 for me in this whole contest. It's nice to know two are guaranteed to move on, but it sucks to know two are also guaranteed to lose. I want them all to succeed ;-;
I hated deciding but I didn't feel like abstaining either.

And damn, b10 might be one of my favorite discoveries even if it took me a few listens to really warm up to it. I'm very partial to MK music as a whole, however, making this match incredibly hard. Funnily enough, for as insanely good as the first two matches are, I find this match the hardest even if I care about it the "least" (even if it's still very good). I think I'll abstain here for this match.

Match 3 is insanely good. As for match 2, honestly? Kataklysm has grown on me a bit. I do like a good chunk of it now even if I still might need a few more listens to warm up to the second half of the song. And Slayers X has a left-handed protagonist apparently? That's pretty cool! Even if Thermosphere loses, I'll at least be happy we have a lefty rep in this contest that isn't just Link from TLOZ.
