What they're giving up on is the massive talent trees they intended to implement into the PvE missions. Apparently those were just too complicated to balance for the full roster, so they scrapped them.Which I cant fully buy that blizzard of all companies couldnt figure this out when this is something they have experience in. Now their PvE modes are barebones and the PvE card with this latest update became a side card to be replaced by the Hero Mastery card. So PvE is effectively gutted and an after thought. I assume that the OW lore is either going to be abandoned or just stuffed into other media formats. |

| BroodRyu 03/13/24 1:39:21 PM #71 | When the original Overwatch stopped receiving updates, it was because of a promise of this new, grand sequel that would have highly replayable missions with skill trees and abilities. People were willing to put up with the BS, to an extent, because we trusted Blizzards vision with the game. Then they fumbled it hard on launch. Then they pulled the rug on the original promise of PvE. So whats left? The same game as OW1, which we paid for already by the way, with ridiculously priced skins and cosmetics complete with predatory monetization practices. Dont get me wrong, just because valorant and other companies do this and dont get hate doesnt mean Overwatch should get a pass. Id avoid purchasing any cosmetic in any game that runs at $19 because thats absolutely absurd. |
