If doing contests on CE has told me anything, it's that one person often runs away with things. Methods to curb that (and interest petering out) are a necessary evil, but I usually give some method to mitigate it -- though it may be up to luck like other things in the quiz. As I mentioned to someone earlier, I could've easily put in bankruptcy tiles or "you switch points with the last-place person" and other feelbad rules.

This does give me an idea for a Shotgun (Bowser) tile/rule, though, where people lose points to me, just like in Mario Party. I could have a pool of coins as a non-player through that method, then lose those coins when people land on different rules or something. Hmm...food for thought...

Upcoming bonus rule:

Rule #21: Whack Blackjack
At the end of the round, note the number of correct answers.

If players attained 21 answers or higher, participants obtain the round completion bonus twice. Players also obtain the round completion bonus in the next puzzle, regardless of whether it was completed. [The points leader does not obtain any of the three free bonuses, however.]

If players attained 20 answers or fewer, equalize the scores of all participants. To do so, pool all players' scores together, divide by the number of players, and the resultant number (rounded up) becomes everyone's score.

Players who have been equalized are immune from being equalized for the next five turns. A player may sacrifice Zuul status to avoid being equalized; if they do, no one else is equalized either.

I see we stumbled upon the great equalizer rule. Should be fun to see what people do with it.
