engarde, adrian, and de killer are all too low

2-4 is the best case of the series and its not even close. so many later cases try to emulate edgeworth vs phoenix from here and the writing is just not anywhere near where it needs to be to make it work. it's kind of insane how high concept 2-4 is and feels like it "effortlessly" succeeds at everything it does, when later cases try to mimic its moves in greater stakes and completely flop.

anyway enough complaining about characters who should all be in the top 20, time to complain about characters who shouldnt be in the top 20.

I'm glad we still have Susato. Definitely better than Trucy and Rayfa (my #102).

I honestly just don't pay attention to official ages in japanese games because they're always so skewed. That solves most of the issues with characters in this game being in love with teenage girls. And also when 28-year old characters are refered to as "old man" or when a female character is supposed to be 50 but looks 20.

I like 3-4 because you literally know theres no possible way it can turn out well and theres a sort of weird dread thats unique to the series - Paratroopa1
