Not to be a downer because that song is actually one of the better ones, but the album is kinda trash and just has him whining about getting "cancelled" and PC culture with a weird obsession with Caitlyn Jenner while trying to say "oh but it's a concept album, that's Slim saying it not me!!!!" which is a flimsy ass reason to be able to say dumb shit

Honestly I felt it was less complaining about being canceled and more egging people on to try; the using of Slim saying that I think is more a comment on how every time he tries to move away from Slim people bitch about how his shit isn't as good, but then when he does rap as Slim people bitch that he hasn't grown as an artist.

Oh yea, big fan of the album it almost reminds me a bit of a mix of SS LP and TES.

I draw the line on politicians doing something that'll hurt politicians. Doubt there's anyone at any level of the Federal Offices that has ever experienced any situation where abortion is needed. That's a lower class concern so they don't care, they just selectively pretend to care or not to care to work support bases.

Perfect example to choose for this reason. There is nothing about anything on the spectrum of gun control conceptually that should lean towards racism aside from the messengers. And people like you still make this claim and feel completely confident in it at that.

Biden and Trump on many many many things aren't too far apart on policy. And then there is some differences.

I think there are many things that Republicans do with the best interest of America as a whole at heart. Obviously, I am Republican. Why would I be if I didn't feel that way?

That said, I don't think we have the best Republican candidate as our nominee. I strongly wanted Nikki as our candidate. Which makes me a RINO to most of the people I know lol. Cuz she is supposedly a "democrat plant" haha.

I don't think you are wrong, Lopen. I open this topic up and a lot of times I don't see people happily discussing politics but quite the opposite.

How their lives will be ruined, they are moving, etc. If a ruling, even if constitutionally sound, doesn't go their way or so on linking it to the end of democracy and such.

Honestly, the best way to view politics is that you have a preferred candidate, but if they lose, you will support your President's actions because you know they have your best interest in heart, even if you disagree with their reasonings. And, when the time comes again for an election, you can hope someone you feel will do a better job will come along or heck maybe you will be pleasantly surprised.

Too many people get way too absorbed into things and take it way too far in their minds.

What have the right-wing politicians in the US done recently that lead you to believe the have the best interest of the Americsn populace at heart, and please explain how those things are going to genuinely help the average American.

In theory the primary difference is that one side is varying degrees more justified on any given issue about feeling society is to blame for their unhappiness because one side holds the societal majority. In practice though most policies aren't affecting most people in their day to day lives, but they'll blame the policy for their unhappiness anyway because it's conceptually bad to them.

The overall mindset is pretty identical though

Try to force your mindset, discard the other side wholesale, and gaslight the other side if things aren't going your way.

Very few people who follow politics closely and actively are happy. It's the culture.

They are probably both right in this case. The harder people go into extended political discourse the less the happiness and self awareness they tend to have.

Do you guys not realize that the vast majority of conservatives aren't doing any of this to be happy. These are people devoid of the ability to actually be able to truly experience joy or happiness. It isn't just about the malice. These are people that only experience misery and don't have the self-awareness to look inside themselves to fix it, so they blame the world around them.

Maybe I need to clarify that I mean what is the plot of this show. Because the trailer was just random stuff happening and then a premise, and then nothing specific. Just shit happening. They make a coven, but for what? Do they actually have a tangible goal? Some kind of adversary?

I just think that they're winning over nobody with this trailer that wasn't already going to watch it already.

I'm not sure why you'd want the entirety of a show spoiled in a teaser trailer.

I feel no one can argue that being on birth control medications for decades at at time do have some negative consequences to a percentage of women out there, both physical and mental. So saying something like "instead of medicating the problem, educate it" isn't really that outlandish of an idea.

You might've had a point if thier idea of sex education wasn't just abstinence. You cannot just look at one thing they say and fill in the blanks with the exact opposite of what they do. That isn't playing "devil's advocate" for them. That's straight up running interference for them.

No. I'm spending my time convincing them not to vote for Canadian conservative parties.

Oh yea I fully agree with that, the liberal party needs a new face, despite the fact that Trudeau has done a serviceable job with what he has been given. People are getting antsy and sometimes a new face is exactly what you need. If Trudeau doesn't step down and Canada shifts to the right because of it, everything he has done was basically for nothing and we'll have a decade of regressive bullshit to undo when the conservatives finally get voted out. But we could get lucky and if the right wins we might get a minority government, which tends to wake people up for the inevitable vote of non-confidence that follows in that state.
