The other day, they killed 5 of their own soldiers and wounded 7 others in a "friendly fire" incident because the soldiers were exhausted, and exhausted soldiers tend to ignore RoE (yes, this excuse was used) Doesn't sound like Israel even gives a s*** about its own soldiers if it's forcing them to fight uninterrupted for so long that they get "tired" and ignore RoE/make mistakes. Mistakes jeopardize the lives of the entire unit (not to mention everyone else in the area)

Don't forget the time when they murdered 3 of their own hostages against the orders of their commanding officer.

Wade. During oral arguments in the election interference case against Trump, he appeared skeptical of Justice Department arguments that past presidents arent completely immune from prosecution, and seemed one of the justices most likely to find that prosecutors went too far in bringing obstruction charges against hundreds of participants in the Jan. 6 riot.
Ethical guidelines generally make it clear that judges should recuse themselves in cases where their spouses have financial interest, but the situation is less clear when spouses have a publicly known political point of view, said Arthur Hellman, a professor emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He pointed to a federal judge in California who refused to recuse himself from a same-sex marriage case in 2011 even though his wife was a head of the American Civil Liberties Union there. Spouses finances are generally intertwined, but the idea that wives and husbands always share political views is outdated, he found.
Meanwhile, it remains unclear whether Alito was aware of the inverted flag at the time or its links to Trump supporters, said Stephen Gillers, a judicial ethics expert at New York University School of Law. Demands for recusals by justices and judges have been part of political disputes over the high court and elsewhere in the legal system. Thomas has rejected Democratic calls for him to recuse himself from Trump-related cases.
Meanwhile, some Republicans have called for New York Judge Juan Merchan to recuse himself from Trumps hush-money trial because hes given small donations to Democrats and his daughter is a party consultant. He declined, in a decision backed by a state ethics panel.
But while a system exists for penalizing lower-court judges who are accused of conflicts or other wrongdoing, there is no mechanism to sanction Supreme Court justices.

To me the fact that such a protocol does not currently exist at the court is a real deficit, said Gabe Roth, executive director of Fix the Court, an advocacy group pushing for judicial ethics.
Only Congress can impeach a Supreme Court justice, said Michael Frisch, ethics counsel at Georgetown Law. One justice, Abe Fortas, resigned from the Supreme Court in 1969 amid a controversy over receiving $20,000 from a Wall Street financier. An impeachment, though, has only happened once, to Justice Samuel Chase in the early 1800s. He was later acquitted by the Senate.

In my town next year schools are starting to do a process where they will now be able to see what every student is doing on there computer at all times...while creeping into authoritative plans...seems to be the only way to stop it if they insist on having computers be just about for everything now...I guess as long as its only the school PC's then its not to intrusive.

As a teacher, you have my gratitude, respect, and if I had the money, I'd donate you some of my salary. You don't get thanked enough for what you do, and it is a shame that most schools don't budget for substitutes. Then they panic when they can't find people to cover classes.

Everything you say is 100% on point. School is suppose to *fix* the problems with society. Instead, it exacerbates them - s***ty entitled kids go through school getting whatever they want, and they do, and they grow up to be a******s. It starts early.

Thanks, sometimes I do feel disposable. There were a few times when I thought I could get " promoted" into a aide, but every time I was subbing for more then a month they switched me out or broke the role into swifts so no one worked full time, they really try to reduced giving anyone health care.

Still, its not a dream job but, at the very least I like that as a sub its flexible and somehow still make as much as a abject college teacher so, I'll take this over a supermarket job.

But yah, a lot of this is parts of the larger problem...Trump's election as president as solidified that America seems to have embraced that its a culture of jerks and jerks are in charge, at least it feels that way at times.

The problem has nothing to do with schools lacking resources or funding and everything to do with schools being terrified of liability and litigation while non-tenured staff are being paid so increasingly little that they have no reason to care about their job.

My mother's been working in a well-funded district for years where you'd expect there to be no problems, yet they're facing the same issues as schools nationwide. I consistently hear the most insane stories you can imagine. Students are borderline illiterate, can't communicate, and are outrageously disrespectful towards their peers and staff alike. Teachers have to walk on eggshells during conferences or behavioral meetings because parents lose their minds at the simple thought of their children not being viewed as anything other than a well-behaved genius.

I been a substitute teacher since 2017 and I seen a lot. There are two kinds of bully's...at least in the most basic level, those who hurt others because they are hurt, and those who think they can do whatever they want, because there parents make them feel that way.

These days parents give hell for any single thing, these days kids can break things and not be punished out of fear of the parents...these days there has to be direct violence and threats before ANY thing is done and sometimes that's STILL not enough because they are so afraid of being sued.

I saw one kid outright brag because his dad was a cop and his mom was a lawyer that he could speed through town and just flash a badge and he would not be charged.

There are many problems but a big problem is that so many parents outright think them and there kids are superior to everyone around them. When so many parents feel kids don't have to be held accountable for there grades or behavior school becomes just a day care where the elite come first, the others dead last.

Bottom line: This summit is more of the same. Overall, the two countries are drawn together by hostility to the United States. In a difficult war, Putin is looking for greater Chinese help, both economic and military. China would like Russia to win, but is still wary of provoking the United States and the West with greater support.
