I almost put this in the OP, but I didn't want to say the answer for people. In my opinion, no. Having one or two drinks with alcohol is not the same as "drinking" Like I'll drink a beer, but I'm not "drinking"

Memories of starting early are relatively positive. Camping trips with friends, etc. Thats usually when the early starting starts.

As fucked up as shit is right now, I take some comfort that at least a good number of Israel citizens don't support the crap their government is doing.

Note, this does not count how late you stay up drinking. If you start drinking the previous night and are still drinking at 2am, that doesn't count as before 8am.

I've always kind of liked the idea of just being buzzed all day (ya know...on rare occasion, not all the time), but I've never had much booze before 8pm. Maybe 1 beer here or there, after 5, but definitely not dedicated drinking.

I just can't wrap my head around being religious. There is literally 0 reason to believe any form of divine being even exists, let alone actually worshiping one.

Not that I'm advocating for it or would be involved, but I feel like not having elections would be the tipping point that leads to violence, possibly even civil war.

Emotions are high already, and I think people are holding back due to the thought that violence will just lead to martial law / a state of emergency being declared. But if there are no elections, it will be brutally clear that we can't just wait this out. I think that will cause a lot of people to get more extreme and not just peacefully protest.

With current technology, no.

In 10-25 years when any issues have been worked out, and the cars are much more commonplace, absolutely.

I never liked how that DLC talked about stuff the Courier had done in the past. Like it's supposed to be a role-playing game, I have an idea in my head about who my character is. Now some weirdo is telling me "Oh yeah, you also did this, remember? Remember that?"

Yeah when Storm Eagle's been defeated, Spark Mandrill's stage loses power and as a result the miniboss can't it's lightning bolts. And it goes down easily using Storm Tornado.

I feel like there aren't enough games using mechanics like this, where the levels are connected and what you do in one impacts other ones. Like taking out a power plant means stuff in another level won't have enough juice to operate, or breaking a dam makes a different level more flooded.

For what it's worth, as someone who doesn't really have the option to protest, seeing all of these protests and the people fighting to make a difference makes me feel better about humanity. I guess it comes back to the Mr. Rogers "Look for the helpers" quote. I know evil people are out there doing awful stuff, but I also know good people are out there trying to stop it.

I rented a boat once, and a recliner.

Had a buddy staying and he has back issues, so sitting on the couch wouldn't be good for him. And I'm not giving up my $300 recliner, so we got one for a week from Rent-A-Center. I don't remember how much it was, but I remember thinking it was pretty reasonable.

We also spent a day fishing on a nearby lake. Rented a pontoon boat from a local boat rental place. It was like 500 bucks, plus what we used in gas. Not too bad, but not something I would do often.

There's a channel I follow (I think it's ChillingScares) and like 90% of the comments are "Thank you for not being AI!"

People don't like to "restrain" their dog by using leashes or fencing them in. It's kind of bonkers. Admittedly when I was a kid our dogs usually weren't leashed or tied up in our yard, but we had a huge yard, no where near any busy roads. And one of our dogs still got hit by a car...in our own driveway.

Anyway, none of our dogs ever got lost, but we never let them out on their own. So many people in the small town I grew up in would have their dogs running free outside, in tiny ass yards, while they were in the house, oblivious to their dogs running into the road. Then if you were nice enough to let them know their dog got out, and was playing in traffic, they'd be like "Oh yeah, but he always comes home."

In or just after high school, I went to a buddy's house to play San Andreas. He wanted the Hydra (military jet), I said let me see the controller. I punched the code in, easy as pie. He asked what the code was, I literally didn't fucking know. I could do it by muscle memory, but had no idea what I was pressing.

Meh, the pilot wasn't just being a douche. Sounds like the policies regarding drug testing are super strict. I wouldn't risk my career on that crap either

I was thinking about doing the degree hack method on study.com where you take accredited courses and then transfer all the credits to an online school and finish any remaining classes there. Im scared AI will make accounting profession obsolete though

Its a third person action game slash shooter of the bullet time fad as was the style of the time (katana for up close combat, jumping around activating bullet time and pew pew'in with your twin pistols for a lot of the ranged combat. You do get other weapons though. You play as a angry and curse happy (kind of like revy from black lagoon, lol) mercenary lady that is doing jobs, and you mostly fight like triad and mafia like guys throughout the game.

Sounds pretty good. The cover reminded me of Gun, which I'm pretty sure also had a bullet time feature.

Final Fantasy IV is a classic. One of my favorite RPGs to replay. I especially like the part when [spoilers], and then he [redacted]. But then you actually find out [post removed]. Oh, and the scene when [nuh-uh] is such a jaw dropper!

It's not the biggest issue, but I like the page option.

It has always been my go-to. As a kid I always got the cookie dough blizzard at Dairy Queen. Now I get a concrete mixer from Culver's with vanilla custard, the peanut butter sauce, and cookie dough. It's incredible.

Oh, man, there's a really obscure character who says "It's-a me!" in some games. Like it's an old character, but there's 1 or 2 modern games with the character that have voice acting, and that's one of the lines. Gosh, I just can't remember the character's name. He's only in a few games. I think he wears red? And has fire powers, sometimes?

I never got past the first area because I got completely walled during the forklift mission.

That mission and the train mission are like, Either you get it pretty easy, or they feel impossible. And then you attempt it again, and it's like "Why was it so easy that time?!" after losing dozens of times.

One of my favorite things to do in the game is beat the "Burglary" side mission early on. If you make I think it's 10k from that mission, you get infinite sprint.

Well, in regards to vertical displacement. The actual wave that hits is much bigger, but how much water is "pushed up" while at sea makes a big difference on the size of the wave when it makes landfall.

I read on Reddit that it was upgraded to an 8.8, making it the sixth largest recorded earthquake. Also apparently this tsunami is going to be fucking MASSIVE. The 2011 tsunami that hit Japan was like 2 feet, this one is 9+
