I dont have much but Im lucky to have loving people in my life and frankly that goes a long way. Sure I could dwell on the negative but knowing I have them is a source of joy and strength.

I mean, literally some of Bidens biggest donors are funding these protests, so if theyll vote Biden Im pretty sure many of the protestors will as well. People should be free to protest anyway, but if youre saying they should only protest as long as Bidens still got their vote I dont think you have to worry about that for the majority of them

This subject is about as serious as it can be for some. If you can't see how some folks might be a little heated when they think someone is dogwhistling bigoted speech to them, you are increasingly looking like you are here to start trouble than actually post your support.

Which is why I said its not completely unfair, but lets not pretend CE doesnt throw out the heinous bigotry charge in a looser manner than is generally warranted. Was it justifiable in this case? Maybe, but there are also many instances it isnt. Thats not completely unfair but I mean he could've just asked first what I meant before accusing me of bigotry like a normal person would do, its very simple to do before levying heinous charges on someone such as bigotry. I do play the guy with dump opinions but only do it in topics that isnt important like opinions on gaming and shit. I dont do it on important real life stuff like yesterday with the topic on "men are trash." I can understand how people might have a hard time differentiating whether im being facetious or not, but if you're going to levy a charge like bigotry on me for something I said about important matters then I would think a simple gesture of asking me what I meant before levying those charges would be simple enough. But some users are quick to jump to gun on heinous accusations of others, I get it its fun to demonize people especially when they made themselves easy targets so I'm sure this wont be the last time.

Im not sure what I said wrong, how would one even be able to tell if someone is trans or not? Sure maybe you can some time, but not all the time. So if you outright say youre super straight and only attracted to cis men or women youre being transphobic. It would be different if they said they prefer having sex with cis, but that wasnt the quote on the OP.

From what I can find women are 91% of victims in rape and sexual assault. When it comes to being victims of homicide men account for 79% of victims. I would look for other crimes rates but I dont think that was in the spirit of this topic to compare which gender suffers the most, we shouldnt frame it in the context of some contest between the two. as established by other posters earlier in this topic I think many of us can agree the patriarchy has caused enough harm for both genders, we shouldnt fight amongst ourselves whos had it worse and instead together stand against a culture that makes it unreasonably hard on both genders in various different ways. This topic couldve been just about the perception of men and their struggles within this toxic culture, but instead several of the posts framed this topic turned it into some trivialized contest of suffering between men and women, like which gender has the high ground, and it just shouldnt have to be that way.

TC, I hope you dont get banned but youre toeing the line here. Just remember, theres no point in wasting energy over anyone who would subscribe to a men are trash rhetoric anyway. Theres been multiple mature viewpoints on the topic here and I hope you deal with those instead

I dont have the stats to the particular scenario but would imagine hardly any men feel that way. But I wouldnt find it unreasonable if men in general feared being victims of violence almost as much as women given that both genders are to prone to similar rates of violent crimes being committed on them. at least if we go by the data from here:

within our societys power dynamics, men hold the power and its very easy to just say they have it good, but its also taking a discussion thats been happening fit hundreds of years and boiling it down to a quick soundbite.

The people I spend my time with agree patriarchal culture and society should change. The patriarchy does a good deal of harm to the average man and a tremendous amount of harm for the average woman. Those who want the patriarchy around are either ignorant or one of those few with actual power that actually stands to benefit from said patriarchy , feel free to disagree

if theyre hurt by the patriarchy then why do we say how men have it so good. I agree everyone is hurt by the patriarchy, and its because of that I dont think it makes much sense to look at societal ills through the lens of gender, the average person of both genders suffers under our unjust society in different ways. If were playing the Olympics of suffering I guess we can argue which demographic suffers most, but I think men suffers enough that the patriarchy does no good for them and actively harms their life with its toxicity

Men arent hated but I would say theres some key issues that goes relatively unaddressed like suicide rates which is 4 times higher than women, or men making up 70% of homeless
