I don't think this is true. People use utilitarianism without question for things within their moral window, especially issues that affect their own lives directly. Issues outside the moral window, or more abstracted, receive much more abstract criticism.

Supporting a ceasefire is the closest thing any politician has ever said to my position so I have no idea why these pro-palestine people arent voting for it. Weve never gotten exactly what we want from politicians ever just the closest equivalent so its not new its politics.
