Correct. There is no list of just yuri that are currently running. Hence why I'm posting a list of anime currently running and saying that there are currently no yuri that are made by women running, despite there being several yuri running, as an example to show that yuri shows are very often, to the point of it being pretty overwhelming, made by guys.

There is plenty of yuri currently being run, but unless I missed something it's all done by guys. Which was the entire point, really, as I only brought up manga because you can at least get gender statistics: this is a topic primarily focused on animated stuffs (in my eyes), the existence of manga is mostly just a tangential thing as you can usually get a reasonable 1:1 demographics between the two.

utena is actually a very bad example to use

as the anime very much was handled by a man the manga creator originally did NOT want utena and anthy to be a couple

So yes, there are plenty of minor publishers who found a 51:49 split, or something similar, finding that their audience had an edge towards women, the one with the most popularity has a notable shift otherwise. This in spite of being the source of things like I'm in Love with the Villainess, The Summer you were there, etc.

Similarly, the act of having the largest demographic not be the one that you aren't in doesn't mean that you aren't allowed to consume. While I would agree that you can make the argument that it's "for everyone" as opposed to "for women/men", I feel that the distinction largely isn't relevant as the entire point of my premise is that the overwhelmingly large amount of yuri anime being produced is explicitly the things that fall into the "are popular with guys who buy figs" crowd far more than they are in the "are popular with any other crowd" line up.

Definitely an 8.5, though disappointing it squandered opportunity to build up more side characters/teams instead of hyper focusing on the same members in the 90s show still. Would have needed several more episodes to breathe though.

The existence of a counterexample doesn't change the point, it's more about the statistics in this scenario. Hence why you can go into the anime topic and find largely just written by men, for men stuffs: that's the demographic that makes up the lion's share of the genre.
