And I don't think Covid is the issue. The issue is that our perception of time tends to change as you get older. When you're a kid a year feels like an eternity, but when you're adult you get distracted and then turn around and it's a decade later.

It probably hits me harder because I'm older than most of the rest of the people here. But it will happen to yoooou!

You and I are around the same age and I have a noticeably worse grasp of time post-COVID. I do agree with your overall statement that your perception of time changes as you get older. Things that seemed to last forever as a kid are just over in a flash now.

I honestly expected this to be some sort of slang term, but that is apparently an official name for them by the people that sell them. Who names these things?

They didn't, there were 12 million 2600's by 1982.

The funny thing is, ET is the 8th best selling game for the 2600. If they had anything like reasonable expectations, it would have actually been profitable.

I like those circular sausages a lot. The real answer I guess is bacon because bacon can be one of the most delicious meats in the universe but if we're talking average quality like at a Denny's I choose those sausages.

It's not so bad for action series like this, where there's not a lot of dialogue during the fights. It a different story for something like Conan, where there's a ton of dialogue that you also have to really pay attention to because it's a mystery series.

You'll see what I mean in about 50 or so chapters. I stopped reading around that point, figuring I would catch up once they finished that arc...that was in 2018 and I am still waiting.

I seem to recall they did two different versions of that for the anime and both ended after fairly short runs. Somehow the manga is still running.

More like the other way around, since I worked on the same job numerous times with my late husband. But we were dating long before we ever worked together.

Similar, I was dating a girl and she happened to be looking for a job at the same time my company was hiring. We are married now and both still working there.

Hollow Knight's popularity was never on that level.

It was the most wishlisted game ever on Steam, so there's that.

I was laid off from my tech job in august of 2023 and didn't get a new tech job until Dec of 2024.

Pretty much exactly what happened to me, except it was August 2023 to July 2024 and I effectively got my old job back with more money.

It generally isn't an issue in most places. Cops don't randomly stop people who look like teenagers and demand to know why they aren't in school.

Used to happen to me all the time when I was a kid, but that was also 30+ years ago so maybe they are more chill about it now with home and online schooling.

I have an Galaxy S21 Ultra that is around 4.5 years old. It replaced an S8+ and so far it is holding up much better, since I had to replace the battery in the S8 after 2 years.

The 22 is the model year, so if you got it at launch it would be 3.5 years.

Given how little run time they have it doesn't surprise me. How often do refrigerator light bulbs go out? I think I remember replacing one in the fridge we had when I was a kid, back when appliances lasted longer.

Crepe paper is that textured paper that party streamers are made from and rolling paper is what people use to roll cigarettes. Shellac is an old one, no clue how a wood finish became a term for a beatdown, but I picked that one up from one of my grandfathers.
