Trump's handling of Covid was one of the things I disapproved of, but to be fair, the existence of Covid wasn't really anybody's fault. The response was flawed and the messaging was extremely unhelpful (as mentioned, the anti-mask, borderline anti-vaxx rhetoric employed by Trump contributed to why I want Biden to win), but at the end of the day I think stubborn people would be stubborn with or without Trump enabling them, and the impact would have been similar regardless.

Short of a mandated, enforced national lockdown, there wasn't much a free country could do to meaningfully stop the spread of Covid. People were always going to do what they did, regardless of what the President felt about the situation.

The amount of bullshit you managed to cram into that mess of a response is impressive.

I am not blaming Fat Donnie for the existence of covid.

I am blaming him for going out of his way to do the opposite of what would have made us safer from Covid.

Passing bipartisan legislation in this political climate is not coasting, especially a gun law of all things. Those took substantial effort to get through while keeping the filibuster. Sure they couldve nixed the filibuster and gotten more, but inefficiency is not coasting either.
