He definitely resembles Cavill quite a bit. But with more of the classic Superman elements like the brighter costume and the S-curl.

But tbf, Cavill also looked like the spitting image of Superman. Too bad the writing for his movies sucked.

I feel like it's one of those suits that's gonna look better in action. Like if you look at The Suicide Squad (the James Gunn one), none of those suits should really work on paper but they actually work nicely with the tone and directing of the film lol.

I like the vibrant colors on Supes, definitely better than the muted colors on Cavill's suit

Holy shit Shang Chi, this fucking movie. The nanosecond they drove into the magical CGI village with I checked out, jesus christ. Then they made the final battle between 2 FFXIV raid boss rejects, and had Awkwafina who never used a bow in her entire life land a shot that would make Hawkeye blush from across a fucking lake. There's definitely way, way worse movies in the MCU than Shang Chi, but this movie is one of the ones that infuriates me the most because of Marvel's crippling addiction to needing everything to end in a huge CGI battle.

It's funny how She-Hulk made fun of this exact same trope and yet Marvel keeps doing it

I don't think anybody knows yet. I believe it was said that there's a chance it might not work on Homelander, and for obvious reasons, Victoria wouldn't want to play those odds.

The last episode of Diabolical more or less explains where and how Homelander learned how to manipulate the media.

It also shows him genuinely trying to be a hero.

Only the very prejudiced or the very opportunistic would suggest a person can be grouped into party lines based on the color of their skin.

Everyone is free to choose how to vote, and its incredibly reductive to suggest one person should vote one way when you're basing their entire sense of values on the color of their skin. No one should suffer discouragement, ostracization, or be spited for how they vote just because you disagree with who they vote for. That even goes for when a minority "votes for the other side".

A-Train is definitely giving me death flags this season, but I'm actually hoping he makes it to Season 5. I at least want to see him make amends with his brother, IF he doesn't end up becoming a full-on ally like Queen Maeve.

And Homelander might be one of the most terrifying characters I've seen in fiction. That scene with him in the lab was so fucking tense.

I'm fine with property taxes so long as they're not too outrageous and so long as those taxes are actually being used to improve the community and surrounding area (which unfortunately isn't always the case).

That being said, I live in Texas where the property taxes are completely outrageous.

Makes me think back and just yet another reminder how fast time really goes. It honestly feel like just a little bit ago I closed on my house. I had been home from the Navy about 5 years and literally just turned 28 by about 2 weeks. That was 20 years ago. Damn that went fast.

I imagine your home is worth way more than what you initially paid for it now

Tbh, the inheritance I received from my dad is what made it possible. But our home is also in a brand new community/area that's still being built up, so we managed to get in on the ground floor before people start migrating here. The price for our floor plan has already gone up considerably.

And FWIW, our home would have been WAY cheaper than what we currently pay in rent if not for our property taxes.

My only confusion so far is that Sister Sage instructed Firecracker (who legitimately seems like a joke) to kill MM, Frenchie, Kimiko to join the 7, yet she obviously failed. Do we think there will be any pushback from that or no?

Also in that same scene SS refers to MM as Marvin, did they know each other previously or did I miss a scene?

Tbf, the only reason her plan failed was because that guy had pink eye. Then again, she probably should have accounted for that.

I'm not sure if she knew him previously, but I'd imagine MM's name would have been in the news after Season 1.

This is just annoying and depressing. After record layoffs, that really messed up the job market for the entire country, Musk is getting the largest pay package in history. While completely ignoring his responsibilities at Tesla for over a year. And single handedly responsible for their decline by pushing the cyber truck! This is just amazing to me.
