Erm, what instance of Golbez are you talking about? In FFIV he hardly fights, and in Dissidia he's got weird techno-beams and Doom rocks and just a little melee.

I mentioned before that tabling the PS2 may be a good idea, and I stick to that. Conversation seems to be gravitating around it!
Well it is a best console discussion, and PS2 is undeniably up there somewhere. No stranger than it gravitating to the SNES or DS. DS is probably one of the more controversial ones as some seem to have a pretty strong aversion to handhelds. Incidentally, speaking of action and platformers, the NES seems like it has a pretty strong library there too. Well, we've got... whatever the good Wild Arms and Suikodens are, Dragon Quest 8, SMT out the wazoo, and that's not even considering FF. We've got plenty of ARPGs like Dark Cloud and Kingdom Hearts, Star Ocean 3 and several Tales ofs. For SRPGs, there are two Disgaeas and other less mainstream stuff. In terms of platformers we have Sly, R&C and Jak off the top of my head. And let's bring up a good genre for PS2: 3D Action games. Devil May Cry, God of War, God Hand, and in the action-adventure direction Okami. As a subgenre we have the GTAs and their ilk. Horror, we've got all kinds of stuff. Silent Hill, RE, and Fatal Frame. Onimusha is also somewhere in between horror and action. There are 3 of them.

Well, PS2 only has PS1 BC, so you miss out on gen 3 and 4 games, but the PS2's library is amazing and the PS1's is pretty solid too.
