If FF7 is worthy of the Top 10, then Ocarina of Time is most certainly deserving of it, as well, which beat FF7 handily. Then again, I already ranked Ocarina of Time like, 9th, or something, last week. Its RPI score has just been badly hurt by a loss to Majora's Mask (rSFF) and a bunch of victories over fodder. Next week, Ocarina of Time finally gets another chance to advance itself by facing Galaxy 2.

Fictional character contests would be a horrible fit for GameFAQs. Most Attractive Character is also unfitting, as putting sensual stuff on the front page might be damaging to the reputation of the site. Worst Character/Game would get very boring after about three days, and might also damage the site's reputation.

Dang, the SNES titles in yesterday's featured matches failed to look impressive at all. I was expecting FF6 to take down FF9 with ease. Zelda:LttP's narrow victory was more expected, though. At least FF6 has established established itself as at least #3, and probably #2 in the series pecking order.

FF8 got pretty close to MGS back in 2009, and I wouldn't be surprised if FF8 does better on MGS 1-on-1 than in a 4-way poll, since Zelda, RBY, and FF8 are all rather RPGish. Also, FF8 got closer RBY than the FFX-defeating Majora's Mask did! Granted, Majora's Mask could have been SFFed by RBY, and RBY could have been a similar victim to Ocarina of Time, but I'm just sayin'.

I gotta side with FFX, though.

It's nice to see a game that's not Nintendo/Square/Capcom in the Top 25, but someone give me a good reason HL2 should be there.... it couldn't beat TTYD nor Prime, its two strongest opponents. It "only" has 2 losses, at least.

What stunning results yesterday! They were horrible, though, since T&T is one of the greatest games ever made. :[ Not that I mind TWEWY doing well. T&T beat GSC, at least. That along with its record should still warrant a top 50 ranking. TWEWY is erratic, but pretty strong on its good days.

FFIX is overrated as far as the board's love for it AND the RPI rankings! ....Maybe only slightly with the weekly votes, though I think FF6 should be above it, at least....next week we'll find that out for sure, though.

Cheat (without object):
1)to practice fraud or deceit
2)to violate rules or regulations
3)to take an examination or test in a dishonest way, as by improper access to answers.
4)to be sexually unfaithful

Game cheats would surely apply to #2 more than anything. You could say cheats always violate a "rule" of some sort, even paintball mode in Goldeneye. You could even count codes that increase the difficulty as cheating! After all, that is not part of the game's rules.

So, it all depends on how you define cheating.

Just as long as we are as anti-Nintendo as reasonably possible all season, CT will be fine. =P It doesn't seem to be working well right now.... personally, I think we should stop voting for all the Nintendo games except Mario Kart 64, and then vote THAT over everything. Resident Evil 4 was already tested against Mario Galaxy.

SA2 is ranked 40th in the RPI.
Out of the top 50 this is the game that seems most out of place.... huh, only 1 loss and its faced nothing but jokes. That explains things then.

Does anyone else think the voters were too reactive based on one week when there's now 13 weeks completed? Only 5 points for Portal and only 7 for Mega Man 2....? Well, those two logically didn't make it, but then there's the fact the Yoshi's Island has replaced DKC2 when Kong Quest won head-to-head handily a little while ago. Yes, DKC2 lost to a game that's never been ranked, but MK64 lost to Aria of Sorrow and I would say MK64 is a worthy contender....! I would say RBY dropped a bit too far as well. Okay, I'd better stop now.

On a clearly positive note, MARIO KART made it! Hallelujah! I can rest easy this week.

I'll make a lame attempt to rank those games charmander posted as far as the chance of winning:
Chrono Trigger > Super Mario Bros. 3 > Resident Evil 4 > Super Smash Bros. Melee > Super Mario World > Pokemon RBY > LoZ: Link to the Past > LoZ: Ocarina of TIme > Super Mario 64. I figure Mario 3 has the best shot at overcoming its season losses during the tournament.

Huh, Final Fantasy VIII looks stronger than I thought!

It lost to Star Fox 64, Mario 64, FF9, FF7 and DKC2, all solid opponents.... but it's got good wins against Kirby 64, ACII, Twilight Princess, and now MM2. Granted, it got absolutely FLATTENED by Mario 64 (under 30%), and the exposed DKC2 beat FF8 pretty handily, too, and FF8 made some fodder look pretty good. So, SOTN is still my man, especially after yesterday.

Really, most sweet cereals are not that good, IMO. Almost all mentioned I agree aren't that great.... Reese's Puffs are awesome, though.

The match isn't quite over, but Mario World's victory over RBY is as good as sealed now. Not that it surprised me in the least bit. I figure RBY is inconsistent mainly because of nostalgia.

I was actually thinking of maybe holding Ocarina of Time vs. A Link to the Past this rivalry week, while saving Ocarina of Time vs. Super Mario 64 for the final week, then I realized that not only would OoT/WW make more sense as a rivalry match, it would also be maybe slightly less predictable. After all, Wind Waker beat a fellow Zelda game that Ocarina of Time lost to (and I voted for Wind Waker over Majora's Mask and Majora's Mask over Ocarina of Time, so the victory is all the sweeter)!

It feels like to me that Ocarina of Time would have a great chance at Mario 64. It still seems kind of weird to me that Ocarina of Time isn't doing better this season, though....

Wind Waker getting crushed by Brawl like that after coming close to upsetting Portal raises some serious questions though.
I'm not sure who's the bigger wildcard between Brawl and Wind waker here... probably Brawl. I'm just glad MK64 beat Brawl, though.... it needs to rise to the rankings because the game is just that fun!
