Ayuyu posted... Just a question about D3 btw, what's the point of keeping attributes if the points are attributed automatically?
Like why do they exist if you can't do anything with them?
You can still increase the stats through items and gems and the like.
Think of it like critical strike in most games. You never really have control over the amount you get, but you can control how much MORE you get. Honestly, I like the thought of not having to worry about balancing things/destroying a character with bad stat placement and instead letting my choice of items do the work.

Jukkie posted... I also never said you couldn't buy and enjoy the game, I just said I wouldn't. Sorry for having an opinion. I'll work on that.
I'm just trying to have a simple conversation with you here and state my own opinion in the form of a rebuttal. No need to get all defensive and catty about something I didn't even say.
Anyway, I don't know what you're expecting coming into a topic dedicated to a game that people like, and then saying the things you're saying. Obviously people aren't going to agree with you.
Chill out dude.

Jukkie posted... From: Silvercross | #034 Are you trying to say that people play Diablo games for a reason other than collecting better and better loot?
I'm not saying that at all, I'm just saying I don't care about playing 30 more hours so I can have 15% more magic find, and the game itself is sub-par at best. So I will not be getting it, and you are not missing out on anything if you cannot play it this weekend.
Pre-purchase Guild Wars 2, and see a real beta event next weekend.
I think you misread my comment. I'm saying that collecting better loot IS the reason people play Diablo games. I mean, it's fun too, but the draw is getting better and better. You know what other games are like that? MMOs. I don't see how saying 30 hours to get more magic find is any worse than 30 hours to get better items in an MMO. It's exactly the same. In the months that I've been playing the Diablo 3 beta, I've never gotten bored.
By the way, I have the Guild Wars Digital Deluxe version pre-purchased since the day it was available and I plan on playing the **** out of both games. I play games to have fun, not to simplify things and think about how I'm spending my time.
Diablo 3 is fun.
Guild Wars 2 is fun.
I will play both games. Simple as that.

Uh yeah, so Foolmo pointed out to me on Facebook that he practically offered us jobs in that interview. At the very least, I'm going to try to contact him personally and see what's up, but I don't expect much. They are looking for an artist though...

Wow, that took me all day to watch inbetween working, but I think I enjoyed that almost as much as the classic Dr. Pizza baseball games. Even the commentary, while not quite as... weird, was great.
I like that I'm finally starting to get better at bat. I'm a BEAST at third base, but I just need to make sure I can be the same at the plate.

So one of my co-workers has offered to help me finish the game and we're currently going over the design doc and getting things ready to start production next week. Still trying to decide between putting the game out for iPhone/iPad, or just making it a game on Windows.
Also, Patrick is apparently pretty swamped with Quick Looks, so it looks like I'll be bumping this until at least next week for the article.
