I think part of the love for Arabian Nights comes from its sound. It works as an excellent opener because it sets the setting so well. That's what Disney does for a lot of their songs. Look at Lion King - African chanting and largeness. It lays the groundwork for the movie well.

As does Arabian Nights. Unlike songs like Two Worlds and Belle, it does not tell you about the characters, but that's what One Step Ahead and Friend Like Me are for. Aladdin has such strong characters that introducing them at the very front would later hurt their appearances.

And just listen to it. It sounds Arabian, which is what the movie is supposed to feel like (I'm not sure if there are Tigers and Monkeys in Arabia though). But yeah, it's expository in the same way Circle of Life is. That in turn makes it the most unique song from Aladdin (a hard feat). So it sticks out, people remember it, and people like it.

FAH's name would be the most unchanged if you took this letter out.

8. The second 't'

FAH's name would be almost the most unchanged if you took only this letter out. Also, there's already a t in his name so this one is kind of redundant.

7. 'i'

This letter is sort of just there to embellish the 'c' at the end of the username. Though it could stand on its own without the 'c', that isn't its purpose.

6. 'a'

This 'a' could easily be any other vowel, and it could even sometimes be 'y'. FAHtustic looks particularly funny, I think. It's a necessary vowel, but still not too great.

5. 'c'

Adds a nice crunch to the end of the username. Helps to identify that the username is close to the word 'fantastic'.

4. 'A'

Part of the character of the name itself, but still not too strong. Not completely necessary when considering the word 'fantastic'. FEHtastic and FOHtastic would be pretty fine. But this letter is still necessary when spelling FAH's shortened name: 'FAH'.

3. 's'

Adds a nice sound to the middle of the name, and really brings the lowercase letters together. Otherwise eh.

2. 'H'

This letter is technically silent, but it allows you to realize the proper way of saying 'FAH'. This letter has an airyness to it, which also provides a touch of mystery.

1. 'F'

The first letter is the most important. Just ask FD. Also, 'F' is one of the most fun letters to say in the English language. That's why words such as 'fun' and '****' start with 'F'. It is no different in this username. Also, the first letter is the most important part of identification. If I said 'G seems like they'd be nice in person', referring to a user posting in this topic, you could probably figure out whom I am referring to. Likewise, 'F' is writing a truly great illustrated CYOA here.

Hellfire and Be Prepared love always puzzles me.


It's because they really delve into the villains, and explore them.

I personally don't feel too strongly about Hellfire, because I don't think it was too well sung. But Be Prepared is an amazing recording, and really shows that Scar isn't a flat evil character - he has his own delusions and mania.

Hellfire also just really explores Frollo well.

The problem with Sayid is that he had a lot of conflict, but still didn't have much happen with his character.

He was always around, and always had some conflict, but nothing really happened.

Well it would... but District 1 and 2 are cheaters who send people who are more than prepared to win, as evidenced by the the score so far. As in the novels and the movie, the lower districts fear for their tributes' lives.

If district 5 has really poor people who barely get by, then why do they care about other people? Caring about their tributes implies a sense of community, which would make it less hard to get by in life.

A large part of LOST's value came from the community aspect of watching. Lunch the day after would be talking to people about theories from the latest episode. My physics prof was a big fan, so we'd get there before class and talk about stuff with him on Thursdays.

I can't imagine the show would be nearly as fun if you took that social element out.


I archived through the series last Summer with three other friends. I haven't really thought about it, but I guess I might not have liked it as much if I didn't watch it with them.


Definitely agree with the journey being such a good part. If someone enjoys it actively while watching, then keep watching. If they're the kind of person who thinks a bad ending ruins everything before, then they might want to quit ahead.
